Old thread bump. Came across some money. PC time!

Comments, concerns, etc?

That's an awfully big case for a mATX board and two drives.

I would not buy that, personally. I'm a big fan of Gigabyte boards, but the M68MT-S2 motherboard in that machine is a $50 motherboard that is near EoL and does not have either 6Gb/s SATA rev.3 or USB 3.0. Max memory on that board is 8Gb with 2 slots, so that's already maxed out too.

The Radeon 6670 is an entry level card.

Just seems like an assemblage of discount, low-end parts to me.

Well shit. I need to sit down and just read about this shit for a few hours so I have a better idea of what I'm doing. I just haven't had time lately. I'm trying to either get a package or get all the parts for a nice PC under $600. I have someone who can put it together if needed.

I assume you have a monitor. Do you have a copy of Windows you will be transferring, or do you need a new copy? What will you mainly be doing? For a gaming rig, this is a great place to start...

You can probably get better deals on some of their prices, especially if you have a Microcenter near by for the processor and motherboard. They also don't include Windows in their cost, so add about $90 to their cost if you don't have a copy you can use (which is right at your price range).

Outside of Microcenter, Amazon and Newegg is where I guy 90% of my stuff. Tiger Direct occasionally has deals. I have never used NCIX, but some people use them too.
