Game Thread Buffalo Bulls at tOSU, Aug 31, 12 ET, ESPN2

Never judge a team based on the first game. Lot of new parts on defense, and a few key veterans were out/hurt. I think we'll see a different team next week.

I called 12-2 in the record predictions thread, still thinking that. :coombs:

12-2 is still possible

Looked great on the opening drives and then stumbled to the finish. Miller looked great on the opening drives, but there's still a lot to work on. They keyed on him in the running game but Hall made them pay.

Need to work on the play calling, but I'm sure it was very vanilla today. Defense is what it is. They'll show lots of improvement with Roby and Barneyt back.

Soooo much experience and leadership to replace, particularly on defense. Going undefeated in one season is a remarkable achievement. Two years in a row is damn near impossible...even if this roster hadn't lost as much as it did. Young team, gonna take some lumps, but they're gonna be a lot of fun to watch as the season moves along. Too much talent not to be.

People that came into this season with a NC or bust attitude are gonna be worn out by October.

the obvious:
Decker & Armani got handled today (altho bewildered why they didn't double Neutz when Armani had him)
Wonder why they didn't use a TE to help
DEs did not earn their accolades today
DTs did work
C Grant was OK but brought back memories of last yr - he better stay healthy .. Mitchell may not give spot back
Linsley was excellent.. guards had a nice day
Who was the #15 with the penalties?
Johnston (P) underwhelmed
Thank you Jordan Hall.. and thank you middle of that line...
Roby - we missed you big time
