See this is what I don't get, yeah we lost, but we lost to a team that is recieving first place votes in the poll and by all right could of easily won the game with a play or two here.

Then you see a team like Tenn ahead of you who almost lost to UAB, who dropeed a td pass to take it to ot. A team like and I am sure you can look at the other teams a head of us and look at the record of teams that they have played. Not very good probably.

I know The citadel probably isnt very good, who FSU played yesterday and it was 10-10 late in the 2nd quarter.

I think if you were being rationale you would put us behind Texas b/c they beat us and we are every bit as good as them, and b/c we scheduled them. Lets see FSU VA Tech play LSU or something like that.

All of the SEC teams ahead of us will knock each other off. You also know that FSU will lose several more games. There is a ton of season left if the Buckeyes handle there business, which I believe than can, we will be in the Rose Bowl hunt by the end of the year. I really think Texas and USC will choke one of these weeks.

Well UF and UT go at it this weekend so theres a start.

Problem I see is that VT and USC would either have to have 2 losses or one really bad loss EACH for us to jump them in the media's eyes. Also while the SEC teams will knock each other off the winner of those games is going to get a lot of credit for beating another top 10 team.

Also, we can't just win out we are gonna have to look good doing it but with UM and iowa having "bad" OOC losses already we won't get much credit for it regardless.

Lots of football left to be played but we're behind the 8 ball as of right now.

I'm suprised we are still top 10. But i'm even more suprised that scUM and iowa didn't drop further. They both looked bad, REAL BAD. At least we hung in there and showed to be one of the top teams in the country.

Don't get me wrong. I still think we are a top 5 team, just loosing at home should knock you down quite a bit. We will end up in the top 5.

Focusing on just the upcoming week:

1) We must beat SDSU convincingly in order to....

2) Jump the UT/UF loser

3) Root for BC to beat FSU


If all goes well we could be #7 this time next week with a top 25 opponent in Iowa coming up.

Worse case is we sleep walk and struggle with SDSU and don't jump the UF/UT loser while FSU wins and widens the gap.

Middle ground is we jump the UT/UF loser but FSU wins and stays ahead of us.
