BuckeyePlanet Mock Draft

LloydSev said:
No one this year is above and beyond everyone. The best players this year, any other year would be a late top 10 pick.

I didn't get any good enough trade offers, so I took the player that would help the franchise the most.

And for real, like I was gonna take your trade offer of Phillip Rivers for my #3 pick.. lol
You shouldn't have agreed to the Rivers for #3, but as the San Diego GM I must offer it to trade up to get my man. But at least you didn't pick Smith or Rodgers... then I would have been pissed

What a lot of us could do is PM BN27 our top 3 choices. We could rank them in our order of preference and he could then go down the list to see who actually remains from the top 3, and then make the appropriate selection for you. This could REALLY speed the entire system up.

Heck, everyone do this....it'll make this draft breeze by :)

Sorry guys, got tied up at work:

"With the uh, fourth pick of the 2005 BuckeyePlanet Draft, the Chicago Bears select Braylon Edwards, WR, Meatchicken"

Braylon Edwards, WR, Meatchicken

The Bears up here are hurting at the skill positions, and a WR or RB would have sufficed. But, considering they don't know what kind of running team they want to be, Edwards is a playmaker, and fits nicely opposite newly acquired Mushin Muhammad, and is to say the least, a significant upgrade over Bernard Berrian, Justin Gage, and Bobby Wade.

Come on now...didn't you learn from the last scUM WR you drafted? Anyway, moving on because Tampa Bay was just camping out at the podium waiting for this pick.

1. San Francisco - Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn
2. Minnesota - Cedric Benson, RB, Texas
3. Cleveland - Alex Barron, OT, Florida State
4. Chicago - Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan

Without any hesitation, Tampa Bay takes the podium:

Tampa Bay selects RB Carnell "Cadillac" Williams from the university of Auburn. A hard nosed runnning back with strength to power his way to paydirt on the goalline and enough speed and shake to break the long one. Not to mention his wonderful attitude and John Gruden's love affair with him all through the senior bowl. Carnell was the one player the Buc's wanted at #5.

1. San Francisco - Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn
2. Minnesota - Cedric Benson, RB, Texas
3. Cleveland - Alex Barron, OT, Florida State
4. Chicago - Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan
5. Tampa Bay - Carnell Williams, RB, Auburn
6. Tennessee

Tennessee is on the clock

bump...interesting pick by the Brown in my opinion, they need a good OL for their crappy backfield. Was I the only one screaming ROETHLISBERGER last year when it came to their pick?
Sorry, wasn't screaming ROETHLISBERGER because I was throwing things at the TV once I saw they traded up one spot. I knew they were picking Winslow and then you should have saw me once we found out that we traded our 2nd rounder to move up one freaking spot!!!!!!!!!!!

But besides that... I wanted the following players in this order last year.

GALLERY
Sean Taylor
Ben Roethlisberger
D'Angelo Hall

Also... how long are we going to wait for picks? This is driving me crazy.

this your first mock draft piney?
For this year yeah :)

I have been involved with a few but normally on NFL sites. For some reason people were always around and we would at least get a pick an hour or less. If this was Monday I would be more patient, but it's Friday and I don't touch a computer on weekends til Sunday night. EDIT - Scratch that... must come to work tomorrow... sometimes I love my government job :)

Plus it doesn't help that work is boring today so I am just wandering aimlessly online at work.

Tennessee selects:

CB Antrel Rolle University of Miami

Losing Samari Rolle and Andre Dyson put Tennessee in a hole this year. Corner was definately a need. Mike Williams was heavily considered here, but ultimately Rolle was a bigger need.
