Fantasy BuckeyePlanet Fantasy Football - The Deuce

Pretty proud of myself for grabbing Alfred Morris and Steven Hill. If only I had started them.

I love Beanie Wells but man he cannot stay on the field.

Did anyone else notice the "recap" after your game each week? That's a new feature and it's pretty cool.

Arian Nation (1-1, 176.80 points) got the win over Scandanavians (1-1, 167.66 points) 98.77 - 85.73, led by Cam Newton with 25.53 points and Arian Foster who scored 19.47. Arian Nation came into the Sunday games already in front -0.07 - -0.27. After the late Sunday games, they lost that lead and fell behind 76.33 - 71.70. However, with the help of 16.87 points from Vernon Davis, Arian Nation ended Sunday night ahead.
Arian Nation Smooth Moves
  • Vernon Davis had the most points of any TE in the league this week with 16.87.
  • With 25.53 points, Cam Newton had the seventh-highest score in the league this week.
  • Made a good move in sitting Beanie Wells this week. He brought in 6.00 points, the fewest of any RB on the team.
  • Arian Foster had 19.47 points, the sixth-highest score among RBs in the league this week.
  • 6 of the 10 starters on Arian Nation exceeded their projected points.
Scandanavians Regret Tracker
  • Jermichael Finley was last in the matchup in scoring with -0.27 points.
  • Scandanavians had 6 of their 10 starters score less than their projected points.
  • DeMarco Murray fell short of his scoring projection with 6.47 points, just 51.1% of his projected 12.65.
  • Both of the starting TEs scored below their projected points.
  • The 85.73 points Scandanavians had from their starters versus the 56.53 points they left on their bench, was the ninth ranked starter/bench scoring ratio in the league this week.

I've been reading them for my teams. They've had some good insight into how my scoring has been distributed across positions. I know my team in this league has been week, and I have a better idea of where I need to be looking for reinforcements.

Yeah. Worst F'ing RB squad I've ever had, and always 2 steps behind picking up the next in line. Somebody likes to hoard. 2nd place may be fleeting.

Everything is fair in Fantasy Football. Yeah, I have seven currently starting RB's on my squad, with three others that could potentially be starters, but sometimes you have to hoard in order to win. That was my move to keep others from having a chance of beating me in the playoffs & forcing them to play non RB's in there flex spots when I face them. I'm probably going to end up starting two of the ones I picked up this week. At least you're the only person to beat me all season.

Is it fair ? Probably not, but as ruthless as a move as it is, it considerably betters my chances of winning. This league scoring is completely RB oriented & with two flex spots, it's imperative to have those spots filled by RB's. I got as many RB's that play & start as I could, so that my opponents would have to rely on WR's & TE's in there flex spots that scoring isn't as friendly to. It doesn't hurt that I have Drew Brees at QB (#11 pick with league scoring of 6 Pts per passing TD, yes please, that was the biggest steal of the draft IMO), Randall Cobb #4 WR, Reggie Wayne #11 WR, Tony Gonzalez #3 TE & Houston DEF #2 DEF as well as my plethora of RB's.

Got 4.06 points combined out of both of my WR's (Reggie Wayne - 0.93 & Danario Alexander - 0), R/W/T Flex (Bryce Brown - 4.13) & Kicker ( Lawrence Tynes - Negative 1) and still wound up winning my Semi-Final matchup against jlb1705 by 22.16. Somehow was the highest scorer in the league this week as well despite those total duds. Talk about a total fluke. It's going to be a showdown with Jake in the Final next week.
