Somehow was the highest scorer in the league this week as well despite those total duds. Talk about a total fluke. It's going to be a showdown with Jake in the Final next week.

Adrian Peterson might have had something to do with that win.

My team sucks. I'm seriously surprised they snuck into the playoffs. I've been scraping the bottom of the barrel for players all season.

Is it fair ? Probably not, but as ruthless as a move as it is, it considerably betters my chances of winning. This league scoring is completely RB oriented & with two flex spots, it's imperative to have those spots filled by RB's. I got as many RB's that play & start as I could, so that my opponents would have to rely on WR's & TE's in there flex spots that scoring isn't as friendly to. It doesn't hurt that I have Drew Brees at QB (#11 pick with league scoring of 6 Pts per passing TD, yes please, that was the biggest steal of the draft IMO), Randall Cobb #4 WR, Reggie Wayne #11 WR, Tony Gonzalez #3 TE & Houston DEF #2 DEF as well as my plethora of RB's.

Wasn't complaining. Just a bit pissed that I let myself get in that weak of a position. I was extremely lucky to end up with the record I had. I figured I needed some divine intervention when we got to the playoffs. Apparently he was busy that weekend. Still playing for the championship in 2 out of 4 leagues, but this one has the most weight for bragging rights. Good luck to Bad Moon and Arian Nation in the final.

The fantasy gods will probably smite my team in the Final for ruthlessly adding all of the available starting RB's at the time & not playing a majority of them. There are no waivers, so it was too easy & appealing not to do it. I think Jake is trying to curse my team or something by changing his team slogan to mention Adrian Peterson in it. I might have to retaliate by mentioning one of his star players in my team slogan in hopes of recasting the spell.

Well the AP curse somewhat worked as he turned in his 2nd worst Fantasy output of the season (8.87 points) & the worst since Week 2, but thankfully Drew Brees (32.77) was more than able to pick up the slack. Made a last minute move to bench Montell Owens (9.33 points) for Shonn Greene (18.60 points) in my R/W/T Flex & it turned out to be the difference. If I wouldn't have made the move, I would've lost by 0.06.

Still got incredibly lucky though. Amassed an astounding 8.4 points combined out of my RB2 (Frank Gore - 2.8 Points), TE (Tony Gonzalez - 0.6 Points), Kicker (Lawrence Tynes - 2 Points) & DEF (Houston - 3 Points).

Reggie Wayne's game-winning TD was only his 5th on the season & 2nd in his past seven games. Randall Cobb got knocked out of the game in the 3rd quarter, but also got a TD, his first in five games.

All in all, extremely lucky win. Jake only got four TD's (1 Passing, 2 Rushing & 1 Receiving) from his team & I had seven (3 Passing, 2 Rushing & 2 Receiving).

I'll be setting this league up again, too, but I'd prefer to wait a bit longer. It's July 9th, but rest assured it's coming.

Good stuff. I've got to defend my crown & pound my chest while I still can. I didn't even make the playoffs in III. Thanks for the heads up & are we keeping the same settings ?

League is up and invitations sent to guys who coached their teams last year. If you bailed you weren't invited back.

Stat categories tweaked a bit but the Deuce and the Trey settings are not the same. Note the differences when ranking players.

Once the returnees are in we'll be looking for new guys. Post here if you're interested.

As for players who were not invited back, since you want to post here like you're surprised I'll answer by simply stating ghost teams aren't good for the league. I'm looking for guys who will play all season. It's that simple.
