So because they have a weak schedule and played 3 good quarters of football so far, they are the 4th best team in the country?

I watched Florida State vs. Miami and I just don't understand why people think Florida State is any good. Their defense isn't that impressive, especially their DBs. Their QB situation is worse than ours was at the beginning of the year. If I had their QB options and Ginn on my team, I'd pick Ginn. They have a solid running game and solid LBs. That apparently is enough.

That's a solid ranking, FKA. But I've got to ask your reasoning for still ranking Louisville after they lost 45-14 to South Florida.

Solid poll, Oiler. I can see leaving Texas Tech off the list, because they may have played the worst non-conference schedule in history. I think most polls have them ranked way too high right now.

Yeah, history has proven Texas Tech to be a team that blasts the little guys and will pull a high scoring upset every once in awhile...but they have historically caved against better teams and lack toughness. If they beat Kansas, I'll probably have them the next team in. I definately won't be able to leave them out of they then go into Nebraska and win

I agree about TT, given their history...but you better say the same about Minny. For me, I'm ranking based exclusively on what I've seen this season, and tried to leave history out of it. I don't think TT is a top 15 team, but they've played well enough to warrant a solid spot in the top 25.

As for Louisville, I think they are (were?) over-rated, but still belong there. I put them last, obviously, but I think South Florida is a much tougher school than they're given credit for. They have a very good offense, and an above-average D. Louisville will probably not drop another game with their schedule, so I think they belong at the bottom of the poll.
