Buckeye Gatherings In Chicago

Cause I couldn't go for 3
I'm heading to the Northwestern game next weekend. I expect a ton of Buckeye fans to be in Chicago for the game. Anyone know of any OSU fan gatherings on Friday night or Saturday?

I was at McGees for the Iowa Game and is was a great time. The place is packed with nothing but Buckeyes. They give away shirts have great big buckeye mugs for your beer and the bar food is actually very good.
If for some crazy reason you want to sit down to watch the game get there real early 3:30 kickoff= try to be ther by noon or so

McGee's is definitely the place to be for game day if you don't have tickets. I was there for both the Texas and Iowa games, and I felt like I was in Columbus. Don't know if anybody was there for those games, but my big ass was the one by the bar wearing the Buckeye Flag cape.

Mickey's on N. Clark and Arlington is also an OSU bar. The girls there are gorgeous and wear tiny black shorts, knee high socks, and home jersey's with #1 on the back. And there's a chick ref at the door who sports a healthy set of lungs! Across the street from Mickey's is the Fieldhouse. They show all the Ohio State games too. It's a smaller bar, but they have some decent deals on brew...especially for Lincoln Park. The owner is from Cleveland, and if you follow the Browns, it's a great place watch them too.

If you do have tickets for the Northwestern game, McGee's is still the place to be. There's a buckeye tailgate party leaving there in the morning between 10:30 and 11. Don't know if it's sold out yet though. I'd definitely call the bar about that one, and I'd get there early to see if you can still get on. They're getting something like 12 buses and partying at the golf course up in Evanston. Should be a good time.

We booked some Ohio State fan bus trip through some bar in Lincoln Park. $40 for free food and drink and a bus ride to and from the Evanston. I'll see if I can find out the name of it if anyone is interested.

I'm pretty sure you and I are talking about the same thing. This dude Mike told me about it a few weeks ago, said there's a Buckeye contingent of around 300 meeting up in the morning there, then hopping aboard the parade of buses. On a side note, if any of you Chicago Buckeye fans want to start partying on Thursday, I won a happy hour party from the Iowa game. Starts at 6:30, runs til 8:30...free domestic drafts. For $15 you get an extra hour of boozin, plus it's all drafts and well drinks. If anybody who lives in the area is interested in joining in the pre pre-game festivities, send me a PM and I'll give you some more details.

Another maybe helpful hint. There seems to be some misinformation around whether the Purple line is open on Saturday and the answer is yes and no. If you are staying downtown, the loop, you can take the Red Line all the way Howard and then from Howard you can get on the purple line to Central Station. If you are staying in downtown, the loop area the red line will be very easy to find.
