If the McGees/Mickey's madness is too much (it is for me), try The Gaslight just North of Depaul. It's a very good, small bar with much better food/beers and liquor selection than the aforementioned. They do up the full Ohio State deal with fight songs during commercials etc, but the crowd is smaller and a little older than the just out of college crowd.

No shit, on Racine? That's like a five minute walk from where I stay and the food is a ton better than mickey's. had no clue it was an OSU bar.

Gaslight for the win.

Before my wife and I moved to the burbs this February, we would go to Gaslight a lot. I probably watched more OSU basketball games than football games there, however the atmosphere is great for both. And like others have said, it is an older crowd (28-36).
