I will be skipping the car show this year for the first time. Not really worth it for me this year. SPend 15 bucks to get in for both of the guys plus 6-7 hours of my time to save 25 bucks over cardboard heroes prices. Sounds kinda crazy to me. My time is worth far more than that

We went to the Buckeye Corner signing and it was very nice. It did suck that you couldn't bring in your own items but the photos they had there were acceptable. Nothing like the professional quality others have here but it was ok. Apparently, there is a website to buy the photos from that they're offering and whomever is running this site is not very smart! Why? Because you don't even have to purchase some of the photos. What? Well, see below. You can right click and save high res images from the site. Pretty much free reign to print your own photos and whomever is in charge of this really has no clue to what they're doing.

What is the website???

I checked the Buckeye Corner website but could not find any examples of pics. Can you tell me where to go? Sorry, I am not the most computer savvy.

WOW! What a blunder! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I know exactly where this photo is coming from and it doesn't take a PhD to find the website. The first thing I did was look at the photoshop work b/c that's what I do with images like this and I take SERIOUS PRIDE IN MY WORK and well this was a sloppy job by someone.

1) The image is a bit dark for my tastes

2) It's also a bit soft

3) Beanie's face needs to be lightened a bit

4) The Selective Coloring job has many "errors" which should have been corrected as close to perfection as possible. See all the yellow circles I've made where the color either should be B&W or is missing. Yeah, I am being VERY PICKY but I'm very meticulous when it comes to my prints.

In the end there are more FULL RES images from this website and I know who it is, but this is a MAJOR MALFUNCTION on their part! It's actually HYSTERICAL from my vantage point! I can see it now people will show up to the signings with these photos already in hand. Something I don't like to see but when you assign someone a job (to run this website) that has no clue on how to do it or any experience in the photographic world then you're gonna pay for it! WOW, just WOW!

A blunder?
Now that you pointed out the flaws... its garbage!!
Thats why I stated in recent posts that no ones photos can compare to Hawaiianbuckeyes.
His attention to detail and professionalism is like no other.
It's just like the old saying...."You get what you pay for....." And In this case... "You get what you steal" hahaha!
Not that I am calling anyone a theif from here, Its just a lack of caring from the person incharge of this particular site. Which doesn't suprise me, Considering whom it is!!

Why not just use the real photo colors? Is the market that big for this anyways?

They are "real" colors. This 'process' is referred to as Selective Color where the image is made to black and white but certain areas keep the color of the photo and yes, a lot of people like this look.

So.... who's ging to the JL Signing at Polaris this Sunday?? I called and they said the mall opens for walkers @ 7am.... so i'll be there with a chair, maybe a pillow

There are a FEW reasons I try to get to these early.
1. Two weeks ago the line was insane for Beanie and JL
2. The first few people get better auto's (look Nicer) becasue the athlete's hand is fresh
3. Why not? I only do this a few times a year, and have fun each time. You also get to meet people as stupid, or should I say "dedicated" as yourself

So... any takers?

Have fun at the Beanie signing, I won't be there, I need to get a jersey I have already signed so i have to find him somewhere else.

I went to the JL signing on Sunday, here are my thoughts. I know Bucky posts here and none of my comments are meant to be rude, just my honest feedback, so please don't take undue offense.

First the positive, the photo's were FANTASTIC and at $6 for 8x10's, man what a value!! I got an amazing 16x20 of JL, couldn't be happier with the photo and the autograph.

The turn out was fantastic, this was a better turn out then Ginn a couple years ago here. Curious, did you guys get through the entire line?

Negatives: Started 25 minutes late, not sure if they were running late or if they were in the store signing for the store first. If it was them, I can handle that, things happen, you don't like people to be late when your waiting 2 hrs, but it happens. If it was the store and they let their paying customers wait while they had their own products and drop offs signed, I think that is a bad decision. Line was getting pretty anxious.

The line moved slower than any signing I've ever been to. one register and you could not purchase the autographs and items before getting into line. It was just one large line where you bought your items and then had them signed right after. The players had a lot of "dead time" between customer due to the checkout process. They had great punch cards to show how many you purchased, would have been much smoother if they would have had the customers purchase the autographs and items prior to the players getting there. Many were there 2-3 hrs ahead of time and they could have got a lot of the register time taken care of and just allow for the late comers (after the signing started) to pay as they went through. This would move the line much quicker for the store. Maybe something to consider for the next one.

I was pretty close to the front and was out by 3:00, but thought it could have been quicker. Overall a little rocky, but the product turned out great so i can't complain too much.

Okay... Thanks for your constructive criticizism.... I don't take anything offensive!!
The line was HUGE.. and the guys were approx 25 mins late!! Aren't they always late? And we went thru the first 50-100 people before we got anything signed for ourselves. Now, As for the checkout line... The credit card machine was the devil!! so after we realized that was the problem we created a cash only line.... the two lines merge together then moved so much faster.
As for allowing you the customer to come in and purchase your items and tickets early.... The mall managment wouldn't allow us to create two lines in the mall... It wasn't a winning situation when you have the mall working against you aswell. We have already made up our minds that there will be two lines and two lines for cash and a credit card at the upcoming signing. Still people didn't pay attention to the announcements that no photos and posing!! This is called an Autograph signing... not a photo shoot!! I had no problem with taking photos after you got your items taken care of out of the way... not at all!! Everything you mentioned will be corrected but I bet you 10 bucks the players will still be late..... But god forbid they get criticized!!
And to answer your question about if we made it thru everyone... After realizing that the c/c machine was holding up the line... We added another hour to our signing to accomidate everyone!! You won't get that anywhere else. But lets not mention anyones name!! Atleast we didn't stop the line to get our 4 cases of mini helmets signed!!
