This thread is one of the worst displays of Buckeye Spirit I've ever seen. What ever happened to us fans banding together? When did we all turn into a bunch of insult hurlers and bitchfest masters? Shouldn't we save the insults for that team up north?
We're THE Ohio State Buckeyes FANS, and we band together to root on our team. We eat, breath, sleep, and live BUCKEYES. (and even hang out in a Buckeye Internet forum)
We spend every Saturday screaming at the TV, or screaming at Hinny-gate, or screaming in the stands, rooting our team on. (except the bi-week, but even then we band together to root against that team up north)
Now some of our brethren have had their RIGHT (that's right I said it, their RIGHT as a buckeye fan) to root on their team taken away from them by greedy companies (cable and big 10 networks).
Not every buckeye fan is living in Columbus (I had to move to Texas to keep my job), or has a clear shot at satellites, or can afford d*, or is single and can run out to the bar/tailgate/stadium, or even lives in a place where a bar would give a crap about the big 10. If you have direcTV, GREAT, but instead of giving those who don't a hard time, use that blow hole of yours to invite those who can't watch the Bucks over to your place. Share the wealth, and help others enjoy watching the greatest team in the land kick ass this fall. If you're in the Dallas, TX area and don't have a way to watch the bucks, PM me, and you can come watch it at my place on the big screen
Don't want fellow buckeye's crashing your party (shame on you) then at least stand behind them and tell Jim Delany and all those crappy cable companies out there that we think they both suck ass. They've taken our beloved Buckeye's away and we are pissed about it.
This isn't 10 years ago, this is 2007, with more HD channels than ever before, and more college football than ever before. I know we all had to walk uphill (not that hilly...it is Ohio afterall) both ways in snow barefoot, but not anymore. Maybe Purdue fans, or Miami fans, or Florida fans, or Duke fans don't give a shit about their team and don't care if they miss a couple of their teams games, but we are OHIO STATE BUCKEYE's and we don't miss a SINGLE game.
So now I have two options (and one mandate) for you:
Option 1: Get DirecTV and be sure to tell your cable company how much they suck and why they lost your business. Then send a bill to Jim Delany for the amount it cost you to switch to DirecTV (over $300 in my case) and explain to him why he is a disgrace to the conference.
Option 2: Find a friend, a bar, a tailgate, or a stadium to watch the game! Ship a slingbox to someone who has direcTV and stream it over the internet, something, anything. Then send letters to your cable company telling them you're actively looking at alternatives to their crap service that doesn't let you watch the Bucks and send another to Jim telling him you love the Big 10 but you can't watch any of their games because his network blows.
Mandate: SCREAM YOUR HEAD OFF FOR THE OHIO STATE BUCKEYES

Alternative: Realize you have no business being on this forum or calling yourself a Buckeye, move to detroit, and pray you get shot before any of your former friends find out you're a Mishitgan fan.
