It does help to recognize that Kelly wins consistently against the lower and mid-tier teams. As is well seen, he doesn't win big games much at all.
It helped Kelly that he started at ND the same season that Pete Carroll went back to the pros.
I think we'll see more of the same at LSU.

Kelly is definitely in over his head at LSU! If he thought fan impatience was bad at ND, he has no clue how hot his seat will be after an 8 win season, or after year 3 and he's not in the CFP. This is the same fan base that constantly tried to run Les Miles out and he won an NC and constantly had LSU in the national conversation

The LSU fanbase is getting a bad rap here. Les Miles was a fucking moron. His teams won in spite of his stupidity. They had Nick Saban for a hot minute.....you can't blame them for wanting somebody who wasn't a certified dipshit to be in charge of all that talent after they knew what could be accomplished with someone like Saban.
