Do they even really have a choice????? The dude turns purple, has an Irish name, is Catholic, played in two new years six bowls which one of them was a NCG (although got smashed in both)

ND has no other option. They can't pull a Urban Meyer or a Nick Saban anymore and if they fire Kelly they're talking about rowing boats and shit

The non Irish American caucasian eating machine got 5 years as well.

So my unofficial count of their incompetent coaches tenure;

Coach: Tenure/win %

Davie: 5 seasons (97-01)/.583%
Willingham: 3 seasons (02-04)/.583%
Weis: 5 seasons (05-09)/.565%
Kelly: 6 full and counting ('10-present)/.671% (and dropping)


I'm sure a progressive institution such as Notre Dame wouldn't engage in racial discrimination even if they have been found guilty of age discrimination in the past.

Pure speculation on my part.

Nothing to see here.

Something any UT candidate will need to ponder. If you don't have things clearly turned around going into your third year, how does the UT administration not make that your make or break season.

Story out of Detroit on Monday: 4 star defensive tackle de-committed on the Irish to accept a Michigan offer. Claimed players and recruits have to make an appointment to get in to see Kelly in his office. I wonder if says, "Kiss my ring."?
