Like Smith, Petrino, and Rodriguez, Kelly is performing far below his Big East record since taking the jump to major college football. Obviously Kelly has only 15 games under his belt, but it looks like he will soon go the way of Davie, Willingham, and Weis (combined record of 91-67, for a .576 winning percentage).
While Smith and Rodriguez were disasters for their respective programs, Petrino is winning at a respectable rate. But respectable (.625) is still a major drop-off from his winning percentage in the Big East (.820).
The point being, that it is very hard to win at a high rate in the major conferences, and beating up on the Little Sisters of the Big East is not an accurate predictor of success in the B1G or SEC.
