I'd respond to this but I'm far too drunk and I need to concentrate on my driving.

In that state, if you make it to Suth Ben, you're likely to sexually assault a female student there. But if you're a football player, you'll never be publicly identified.

i don't think the guy that lost to tulsa at home last year should comment about scheduling easy teams.

Hey now, that Tulsa team came within 38 points of beating Oklahoma State.

I've updated the numbers and included Kelly's performance at Cincinnati and Notre Dame....

Here are the before and after records of the last four hot shot Big East coaches to take the step up to big boy conferences:

John L. Smith
41 - 21 (.661) in 5 years at Louisville
22 - 26 (.458) in 4 years at Michigan State

Bobby Petrino
41 - 9 (.820) in 4 years at Louisville
25 - 15 (.625) in 3+ years at Arkansas

Rich Rodriguez
60 - 26 (.698) in 7 years at West Virginia
15 - 22 (.405) in 3 years at Michigan (Michigan's all-time winning percentage is .733)

Mark Dantonio
18 - 17 (.514) in 3 years at Cincinnati
35 - 19 (.649) in 4+ years at Michigan State

Brian Kelly
33 - 6 (.847) in 3 years at Cincinnati
8 - 7 (.534) in 1+ years at Notre Dame
Like Smith, Petrino, and Rodriguez, Kelly is performing far below his Big East record since taking the jump to major college football. Obviously Kelly has only 15 games under his belt, but it looks like he will soon go the way of Davie, Willingham, and Weis (combined record of 91-67, for a .576 winning percentage).

While Smith and Rodriguez were disasters for their respective programs, Petrino is winning at a respectable rate. But respectable (.625) is still a major drop-off from his winning percentage in the Big East (.820).

The point being, that it is very hard to win at a high rate in the major conferences, and beating up on the Little Sisters of the Big East is not an accurate predictor of success in the B1G or SEC.
