I think that there was a "non-binding request" made that he decide by then, unless it's changed in the last few hours. Quickly - to the Googlemobile!

Not sure "Tell us on April Fool's Day" was the bet strategy...

that makes sense....

have they said anything up there about The Pack looking at Chalres Woodson? I don't think I could handle him in the Green and Gold.

Just a meeting so far... not sure if it has happened yet... but he is talking to several teams, and the consensus seems to be that we'll offer the least $$$$. Dunno. There's a whole "Packers Held Hostage" watch going on up here, but thankfully they're now framing Ted Thompson as the villian (due to his free-agency choices) rather than Brett.

What's the general consensus among Pack fans? Brett is a legend, but is it better for him to come back at his age, or just hang them up? I'm thinking another year for him to groom Aaron Rogers would probably be in the teams best interest.
As far as Woodson, if us Browns fans can accept Braylon, I think Pack-Buckeye fans could deal with Woodson. When he's healthy, he's still a pretty damn good CB.:wink2:

The only good thing that Thompson has done so far was re-sign Kampman. Diggs is gone, Longwell is gone, but they re-sign Green... not the best choices.

Brett should come back. Rodgers is not close to being ready to take over the team. It would be very hard for me to accept Woodson.... if they could get him cheap that would make me feel better but I hope he goes else where even though he would help the team a great deal.

NFBuck, the overwhelming majority around here seem to want him back, but they want to know now so other personnel decisions can move forward. The number of people who would prefer him to retire than hold off a decision has increased dramatically, but even that group still would prefer to hear he's coming back.

Granted I don't follow the Packers like I follow the Buckeyes... but it seems so far, Ted Thompson has hired a head coach who doesn't excite the fans, who has hired other coaches who don't excite the fans, and topped it off with less-than-exciting choices in free agency. I guess you have to hope he's a brilliant long-term builder.

Charles Woodson and Barrett Green are coming in this week for meetings.

He's gonna play another year, write it down. The only way he can hurt the franchise is to retire now. He won't do that, and if they have problems again this year, he may play another. I just don't think he'll leave them hanging, he's the only Qback they have and he knows it.
