THe scoop I heard today is that Bret is to report to camp tomorrow at noon and has agreed to do so.
The afterthought by the talking head was that he will be traded in a week ... or so..
Someone called it right. Will the Jets be a serious contender now?

Please tell me you're not this angry in person? I look forward to meeting you, but if it's all rants that really don't make a whole lot of sense then I am going to have to go ahead and resume my tailgate with Dennis Miller, and that will suck.

He's actually a wienie-burning, low-alcohol-tolerance, chicken-legged wuss in real life. :)

Maybe...some talking head thinks they'll go 11-5 this year now that they have Favre. But I think that's a stretch.

In all honestly I think Favre will play there for a year or two until they get either a) Kellen Clemens up to the pro level. Or b) A new QB in the draft. I hope they don't think this is a long term fix.

Have you guys seen this schedule? The Jets have reason to be optimistic no matter who their QB is. Boomer Esiason and Joe Namath should be clamoring to come out of retirement too after seeing this joke of a slate:

You can chalk up two games vs. NE and one game vs. SD as losses right now. After that, what tough games remain? STL? KC? @OAK? @SF? MIA x 2? I suppose CIN, @SEA, @TEN, DEN, BUF x 2 and maybe ARI could all beat them, but they are also all pretty beatable.

I dare say that Pennington or Clemens could have gone 9-7 at minimum with this schedule, and if Favre is still the player that all the people who have been screaming at the Packers management say he is, he should probably do no worse than 11-5.

Fuck NE. Gholston is going to put a hurt on Brady so bad he'll shake comming into the second game.

They are an 8-8 team at the best.

It'll be interesting to see how those NY fans react when Favre throws one of those ridiculously silly record breaking INT's. He will not come close to repeating the numbers he had in 2007. With no running game and a below average receivers my guess is he'll be back to his '05 and '06 numbers.

I tried to watch the preseason game on ESPN, but all they're talking about is Farrve. Kornholer is insisting that Farrve is the top QB in NY now ahead of Eli Manning - even after Manning won the Super Bowl last year. Even after Manning got there by beating Farrve at Lambeau in the playoffs, too. Farrve is the biggest diva QB in NY, but that's it.

I wanted to watch some NFL tonight, but I can't keep listening to this. Ironically enough, they're replaying an Eli Manning game (Ole Miss vs. LSU, 2003) on CBS College Sports. I think I'd rather hear more SEC self indulgence right now than this Farrve stuff.
