How unfunny is it, that every sportscenter the anchors make comments about how ridiculous this story has become and they want it to go away so they can stop talking about it......

ESPN did a 2 hour and 47 minute live show yesterday from Packers camp, reporting no new information, just continually switching to live reporters at Packers camp. Wendi Nix and Ed Warder(sp?) took turns spinning old information and pretending to have close contacts they've been text messaging.

I just wish this story would go away, and I wish another sports network existed so I didn;t have to continually watch ESPN.

Maybe one of the Sportscenter anchors could call out ESPN for creating this disgusting mess.

I know, I hate the way the modern sports media (ESPN foremost) takes every story and eventually reaches a point at which they are reporting on the media's own response to the story, because there is nothing interesting left to report about the story itself.

Stop talking about yourself and just report the news! :pissed:

Favare claims that he was pressured into retirement by the organization, which is not what he wanted with the upcomming season. I'm not exactly sure why the ogranization refused to let Brett play. Hes obviously the best canidate between himself and Rogers. I understand you need to think about the future, but at SOME point the younger lion will get better than the aging lion, or he should. Best guy for the job should play, and Brett gave them the best chance to win. I don't necessarily believe 100% that Favre was being truthful in his claims he was forced into retirement, or the claims that he didn't call other teams from his company phone, but the fact remains he wanted to come back and was denied.

Wouldn't let him play either. Can't believe anyone outside of Green Bay would think this.
Green Bay utilized two draft picks on qbs because they thought he was gone. Aaron Rodgers was already under enough pressure, now he is in a no win situation unless he wins the Super Bowl. I'm not a Packers fan at all but I hope Rodgers finds a way to win the big game as a starting qb someday.

I believe it, and I sort of agree with it. I think they just want to move forward with Rogers and start his devolpment. They can't just let him waste away, especially if they think he is good enough to get it done.

When and if he has a bad game for the Packers he will get criticism from the fans and the Favre fans. They all will say we should of signed Brett:lol:

the fans are already chanting "Favre" at practice.... just wait until 72K are doing it at Lambeau. Rodgers better have a good start or the kid will have it rough up there.

I changed the thread title.

You'd think the guy was doing something worthy of the nation's attention, like fucking Paris, Lindsey and Britney at the same time.
