Breaking News: Yates found not guilty by reason of insanity

MililaniBuckeye said:
I hope some 250-pound dyke nurse drowns Yates in a sanitarium bathtub. Actually, I'd like to take her down the the local auto garage, stick the airhose in her uterus, and blow her sorry ass up like a fucking tractor tire...

Step right up ladies, he's still available!

B.L.

I respect all of the opinions that are posted on this site. I am merely trying to share opinion and some of my own personal experiences to better educate those who may not be familiar with the illness. I would never consider anyone weighing in on a topic as being "wrong". And I am not a psychiatrist, nor do I support many psychiatric opinions. This case is very disturbing and brutally real.

Your statement says it. "And if you think this verdict will somehow do mentally ill people a favor, think again...the outrage this will cause will do the exact opposite...something everyone I have heard discuss the matter seems to agree on." Some people are making rash, pissed off, judgment decisions in this matter which will adversely effect the mentally ill.

Once again, I whole heartedly support everyone on this site expressing their opinion. I am not labeling any of them as RIGHT or WRONG, just trying to put a different spin on things.

Sorry, was ill yesterday and am now catching up. I didn't mean to jump on you...it just seemed like you were making the "people who have an opinion that isn't mine just aren't as educated" argument...which obviously you weren't, so totally my fault. I personally really hate that attitude, probably irrationally, so I obviously overreacted. "Time Out" for me :!

I would like to hear what some of the girls, Sushi,Deety, Ryn, Peach have to say about the hormonal aspects of this case.
I think they could provide some interesting incite.

Errr...if she (Yates) is really as mentally ill as this jury says, then the opinions of sane and rational women are obviously still very valuable...but not for that reason.

I'm gonna change gears a little.... what does everyone think about the husband? He knew she was crazy and didn't do anything about it... when he got the house after it happened he apparently said "she finally did it".

I was thinking that as well, LoKy. I in no way put blame on him, but when you see warning signs you should act on it. The Columbine tragedy teaches us this lesson as well.

How did this thread go for so long without a word from the real expert in Post Pardum Depression??

You don't know the history of Psychology. I do.

 Tom Cruise.... The voice reas.... err... recent insanity.

I mean, who here thinks that Maverick has almost a free pass to kill anyone he wants. Try being the prosecutor that has to prove he ISN'T insane.

My wife had post pardem REALLY bad but not as bad as Yates obviously.

At the first trial I wanted to kill this woman, now after talking with my wife and experiencing it first hand I feel pretty sad for the woman, she should have gotten help. Or her husband should have gotten her help.
In the meantime I don't excuse what she did but post pardem CAN cause psychosis in extreme cases, my wife was close. It ain't pretty. She deserves to be in the mental hospital, not jail. I've come to peace with the decision.
I don't see her as an evil woman. It's just a sad situation. The whole thing is so so sad.
