Breaking Bad / Better Call Saul

Season Finale in five minutes. You know what to do, BP.

I always love the "Gun Guy" on "Breaking Bad"/"Better Call Saul" for some reason.

Notice the subtle nod of the Weasel garden tool commercial right after Jimmy's commercial.

I learned this in the early 2000's with an attorney representing me: Some of them tape anything/everything (watch what you say).

I know that was Gus but I need to see his face so bad :sob:

Agreed. You'll have to wait until next season to see him, though.

I don't know why either, but I'm with you there. For being a supplier of guns to people who do things outside the confines of the law, he seems like such a good, honest guy.

I caught that, too. Shown for a reason and very clever.

I figured something was up when Chuck was out in the garage digging around. Once he made sure to ask Jimmy about his confessing to a felony, there was no need to show the recorder aside from the obvious cliffhanger effect leading in to next season.

Is this season over already? It seems like it just started. 10 hour long episodes is such a tease with this show. Vince Gilligan, you asshole...

The Season 2 episode titles are:

Switch
Cobbler
Amarillo
Gloves Off
Rebecca
Bali Ha'i
Inflatable
Fifi
Nailed
Klick

First letters of each episode: S C A G R B I F N K

Anagram: FRINGS BACK

Confirmed by Vince and Peter during the Talking Saul after-show interview. I think that's a clear indication Gus left the note on Mike's car, because I don't see any other role Gus would have played in Season 2.

Also loved the ending, because the reveal of the tape recorder indicated Chuck knew what he was going to get out of Jimmy, which implies everything else in that scene was part of an elaborate con that even Jimmy wouldn't have pulled off since it required so much labor.

Now that's interesting. There should have been an 11th episode starting with an apostrophe. I'm greedy.

To quote Chuck...Nobody ever accused Jimmy of being lazy. Every other sin in the book, maybe, but not lazy.

Chuck is a smart, smart man.

Rewatching Breaking Bad (nod of the cap to Better Call Saul, my memory was rusty). Maybe this is a longshot but has anyone broke down Skyler walking into the pool on Season 5 and analogized it to The Awakening by Kate Chopin? Infidelity, hopelessness, embracing the water. The show is just so damn brilliant that I would not put it past them.

Bobby Singer knows his damned guns, ya idjit.

Agreed 110%. They are always so good with subtlely showing you what is going on, that it when they DO make it obvious, it's just a reminder of how bad the rest of television is. Any other show would reveal the recorder, but it felt completely unnecessary here.

A couple thoughts.....I noticed in one of the episodes while they were waiting to get onto the elevator at the courthouse that Jimmy is actually taller than Mike. Not really important, just found it very interesting how their characters can have such a profound impact on perception. I would have said that Mike would be 6 inches taller.

Also, god damn you, Gilligan. After the doctoring of the documents, I was convinced that I would never be able to get past that to root for Jimmy again.....and yet here I am hating Chuck anew. As with BB, as much as I want to hate this sleazeball, I just can't do it. Gimme Jimmy!

Continuing to watch the "Breaking Bad" marathon from a couple weeks back I'm reminded of how great the show was.

I don't like spoilers (and haven't read anything), but if I had to guess a few things:

Guesses
1) Not next season, but in Season 4, they'll probably show how Hector Salamanca ended up in the wheelchair (I'd guess Gus had a hand).
2) I'd guess that attorney Dan Wachsberger will make an appearance.
3) Manny from "Scarface" (Don Eladio) will make an appearance soon.

Like I said, I haven't read anything or watched anything. So these are just my guesses.
