Braylon Edwards (official drop thread)

theres the Edwards we love..ball hits his hand (admittedly a little out front) but he tips it up and Jarious Byrd picks it for the Bills.

First of many for the Jets I assume.

As long as he catches enough that the Browns get the Jets 2nd round pick I'll be happy. Braylon will always be a turd for whoever is stupid enough to give him a ton of money.

You guys do realize how lame it is to track a former player's drops right?

Besides, don't you need him to catch passes so you can get a 2nd rounder instead of a 3rd?

He loafed and quit on the team that was paying him millions of dollars to do one thing. Fuck him. I'm gonna relish every single failure for the rest of his shitty career. If that makes me lame, I don't give a fuck.

Yeah, but he can't catch, so.....

There were many players on the Browns over the years who have been paid millions to do there job, and have failed miserably. I don't see people tracking Tim Couch's real estate sale failures (or whatever he's doing). If he did in fact quit on the team, then that is shameful. But oftentimes it's looked like the Brown's execs have quit on trying to build a successful team. Can't really blame him for trying to get out of town.

Not as egregiously as this bum. Did you watch many Browns games? Witness all those drops? He was a #3 overall pick, paid #3 overall pick money to do one thing...catch the ball. He was shockingly bad at it. Not to mention his often lazy route running. Then he punched a midget. Fuck him in the ear.

I'll admit that I haven't seen many Browns games over the years...couldn't bring myself to root against all of my better judgment. I'll defer to you on how lazy he was/is. All I'm saying is that WR is the most dependent position in the NFL. Dependent on both O-Line and quarterbacking to be good. Especially with a receiver like Edwards where he's best going deep. I can understand fans wanting to make him the whipping boy for the Browns' lack of success.

After 2007 it hasn't mattered what the O-line did or who was the QB, this POS couldn't catch a football.

I wasn't saying specifically you are lame for righting that exact post. I just don't think it reflects well on a fanbase to wish ill on a player that doesn't suit up for you anymore.

The guy was a diasaster in Cleveland after 2007. Just didn't care. Between lazy routes, dropped passes, and partying after getting his arse handed to him on Sundays..ya theres some ill will. Hopefully he catches 55, 1 yard passes, and drops the rest while the Jets suck for the remainder of the year...
