Wanted you boys and girls to read about what the Hoakster is up to:

This weekend could make or break Brady Hoke's first recruiting class at Michigan.
U-M once had 14 commitments. That number dropped to 10 before defensive back Tamani Carter of Pickerington, Ohio, committed Thursday.
Traverse City West offensive tackle Jake Fisher, one of U-M's 11 commitments, isn't a sure thing, either. Fisher has an official visit scheduled for Florida this weekend.
Recruits can sign a letter-of-intent Feb. 2. The last day college coaches can visit recruits is Jan. 30 ? so time is running out.
U-M has eight recruits coming to Ann Arbor this weekend, according to Josh Helmboldt, the recruiting editor of theWolverine.com. Among those are defensive back Raymon Taylor, of Highland Park, and linebacker Leilon Willingham, of Mullen High School in Denver. Taylor has committed to Indiana and Willingham to Texas A&M, but it wouldn't be a shocker, according to Helmboldt, to see U-M land one or both. Both players are four-star recruits according to Rivals.com.
"Taylor and (Plymouth defensive end) Brennen Beyer were the first two players Hoke went to see," Helmboldt said. "U-M is very serious about Taylor."
Beyer committed to U-M before last season and remains committed.
Another player U-M could land is lineman Christian Bryant, of Simeon High in Chicago. Bryant made his official visit to U-M during the Big Chill weekend (Dec. 11). Bryant made an official visit to Pittsburgh last weekend before stopping in Ann Arbor on his way home for an unofficial visit to meet with the new staff. Helmboldt said Bryant has an official visit scheduled this weekend at Illinois. Originally, Bryant had set the date of Jan. 21 as to when he would make is commitment. That's been changed to Jan. 28.
CBS Sports recruiting analyst Tom Lemming said Bryant received pressure to commit earlier this month but indicated he wanted to wait until U-M hired a coach before deciding.
Helmboldt said he's liked what he's seen in Hoke's first nine days. Having to recruit players up a level or two from the ones Hoke recruited at San Diego State, and Ball State before that, is quite a challenge especially in such a short period of time.
"I've been impressed with their feel for it," Helmboldt said. "They're going after kids who already committed. He's a Midwestern guy but he recruited the West Coast when he was at Michigan (1995-2002). Even though he's been a regional guy lately he's had a good feel for the national scene. . . .

I just don't understand why all these reporters in Detroit want to know if I understand the importance of recruiting and rivalries. . .
they seemed obsessive about this football talk all the time. Jeez don't they have a life or something?

How has your recent hiring affected recruiting?
Hoke: The last two jobs we've come from (Ball State and San Diego State), it was the same thing. You know what, there are a lot of guys out there who love Michigan. A lot of guys out there who have great character, guys who want to play in the Big Ten and represent this university, so we'll have a good class.

Fans want to know that you ?get? the rivalries with MSU and Ohio State. How do you understand the rivalries?
Hoke: You know, obviously, I think I understand those rivalries. Being a Michigan fan my whole life, growing up in the state of Ohio, I can promise you I'll understand that rivalry. And the one with Michigan State, Mark's a great coach and he's done a great job ? and, you know, that game is like no other game. There's an emphasis there ? no question about it ? and we want to go win those two games every year.

Coach (Jim) Tressel said to Ohio State fans, ?You'll be proud of this university 310 days later in Ann Arbor." Will Michigan fans be proud 300-some days from now?
Hoke: Well, they're going to be proud of this football team from the start of the season until the end of the season, the way that we're going to play with toughness, the way that we're going to play with effort, the way we're going to play for Michigan and play for each other.

Yeah.

Ask your wife about it.

WTF are you doing?

Listen fat boy, you need to start worrying about this upcoming season and that systematic advantage you use.

You were hired to coach the offense. I know you stole the damn donuts I had stored in my secret location. If you keep taking my donuts then I'm going to use your fat ass as a tackling dummy for our players. On second thought, your lard alone might injure our players or make them disappear.

Better idea, just stand on the sideline and act like you are doing something and I'll take care of this team. This ain't ND where 6-6 and a Hawaii bowl win gets it done, got it tubby?
