Brady Quinn (Fox CFB Analyst)

How pathetic is Quinn? A guy criticizes how he looks and the next thing he does is find the nearest barbarshop.

Get some balls, kid. Enjoy him, Cleveburg.

Absolutely. I can't believe he would cave to criticism from the lowest form of scum from ESPiN. Really, is there anyone more irrelevant than Theismann at ESPN? I think he was just trying to figure out a way to get his name associated with ESPN's coverage of the draft some how.

Eh, cut the kid some slack. At Quinn's salon, you probably need to make an appointment a month in advance. I doubt that Quinn's recent "make over" had anything to do with Theisman's comments....

Let's face it: Brady Quinn is just a rookie

By Terry Pluto

After two days of watching Brady Quinn throw passes into the wind, with the wind, on target and way off target, here's what we know: He's a rookie quarterback.
Here's what else we know: The NFL is an unforgiving place for rookie quarterbacks.
Here's the good news: The Notre Dame star impressed the Browns by showing that some of the hype from Irish coach Charlie Weis is right. The kid is well-prepared for the pros.

Brady Quinn haircut critic over the top

By George M. Thomas

Brady Quinn's hair is getting more notice than biblical hero Samson's ever did.
Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic made several mentions Monday on ESPN2's and ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike in the Morning.
For those who missed it, Quinn cut his hair after being criticized by Mr. Notre Dame, Joe Theismann. The former Washington Redskins signal- caller criticized Quinn for looking as if he were auditioning for a revival of Hair and for chewing gum on national TV during the NFL Draft.

ND?s Weis believes in Quinn
BY STEVE BENNETT
STAFF WRITER

05/11/2007

WILKES-BARRE ? Charlie Weis stands behind his contention Brady Quinn is going to be an elite-level quarterback in the NFL.

Weis, the head football coach at Notre Dame, was in town as the featured speaker Thursday night at the fourth annual Volunteers of America celebrity benefit dinner held at Genetti?s in Wilkes-Barre. More than 700 people were in attendance as he touched on a variety of topics ranging from Quinn, his new quarterbacks coach and recruiting. Fans began lining up at Genetti?s as early as 3 p.m. seeking an autograph.

?We weren?t surprised, the only surprise was No. 9.? Weis said, referring to the fact that the Dolphins selected Ohio State?s Ted Ginn with their first pick. ?When it got to the Dolphins and they passed on Brady, I figured it would take a team that needed a quarterback in the first round.?

This crossed my mind the other day, I don't know if anyone else has brought this up........If Charlie Frye had started 4 years at Notre Dame, and played under Charlie Weiss he would have been a first rounder guaranteed. That's not to say Quinn won't be any good, although I do think he's vastly overrated, but the media loves this guy, and Charlie Frye would have easily gotten the love needed to propel him to first round status several years ago had he been at Notre Dame. Not to mention Charlie would of had Jeff Samarjzia and Rhema McKnight to throw to instead of his compliment of receivers at Akron.

You forgot the part where everyone on here would hate him and say he's overrated except King Rebuf who'd be President of Charlie's Fries.

Very true Muck. I've just got this feeling Quinn is going to be Kyle Boller reincarnate. Big, strong, smart QB, who impressed the scouts with measurables even though he had decent but not great success at Cal....plus he played for a coach who had preparred him for the NFL in Jeff Tedford.....Savage even moved back into the first to take Boller like he did Quinn

I respect Savage's decesion to give a top 10 pick next year for a QB he thinks can be great....I just believe he has put his faith in the wrong guy

Word has it Charlie has a new 'hunger' after the quinn selection and was already busting his ass in the off season in the weight room & film room.. i'll say frye surprises alot of people.

I doubt Frye has very little impact on the situation......Quinn is the new BMOC and I think Crennel and even Savage have placed their jobs on him.....In a way, I believe the management has pointed a finger at the root of our problems indirectly, through the draft

Even if Frye plays well this off-season I believe we'll see Quinn sooner than later

I'm not a huge fan of Quinn but I find it quite amusing when people go out of their way to bash the kid. Frye is a backup quarterback in the NFL, that is at best. How many teams outside of Cleveland would he start for?

I don't like to bash Frye because I actually played against him in high school a few times.......and chatted it up with him a couple of times, he's a nice guy. But let's not get into some kind of big school vs. little school pissing contest. Quinn has more potential than Frye does in the NFL, any remedial football fan can figure that out out. People ought to give Quinn a chance in the league, he may end up surprising you.........

Not to say that he'll dominate, but I can almost guarantee that he'll have a more prosperous career than Chucky Frye.

I completely agree that Frye isn't a starting QB in the NFL......however, if he had the opportunity to start at ND every scout and media memeber(Kiper, Mortenson, McShay) would have been giving him face time.....Quinn started at a school that draws the most media attention and played for suppossed offesnive guru, Charlie Weiss....think about Frye's career at Akron, how he flew under the radar, had no help anywhere on offense, and no media attention

Basically, Quinn got all the hype for being an above average QB at ND, while sucking against good teams, while Frye got no hype leading an average college team to a decent record

If it were Frye leaving ND, everyone would be talking about Frye having 2 years under a mastermind who has prepared him for the NFL, especially after running an NFL system....plus, we'd hear about Frye's great mobility, and ability to make plays when they aren't there, and how he's the next Joe Montana b/c he's from ND

We'll see how it plays out, and I do believe Quinn is a better prospect, but certainly not worth a top 10 pick in next years draft....I've got a feeling we're looking for a franchise QB is 4-5 years, or we're just too stubburn to give up on Quinn at that point b/c we don't want to rebuild again

a thousand years ago... there was a QB named Archie Manning...
there were lots of folks who said Archie could be a very very good NFL QB...
but he never was...
because he spent his entire career running away from rushers and picking himself off the dirt...
there have been many articles that said, had Archie had the benefit of having even an avg line.. he could have been a star...

I interject Frye here...
until I see him with a good line... I ain't jumpin off the kids band wagon...
