Bracketology and Selection Sunday Discussion

Assuming OSU is an 8 or 9 seed, that means they will be placed in a pod with a #1 seed. UM can't be in the same pod as OSU as they have played each other 3 times. So that leaves Duke, Arizona and (likely) Florida. Of the R64 sites this season, Duke is going to be closest to Greenville, SC, Florida closest to Tampa, and Arizona to San Diego. So I would expect OSU to be going to one of Greenville, Tampa, or San Diego. I'm going to guess OSU will be an 8 or 9 seed in Greenville with Duke.

Joey Brackets has OSU in Tampa as a #8, because he also has Georgia (and Clemson) on the 8 line, and he puts Georgia in the pod with Duke and OSU in the pod with Florida. I'm not sure if Lunardi is right - usually he is somewhat off, but certainly Tampa is at least the second-most likely location for OSU.

Texas getting in over Oklahoma is something

OU won 6/7 down the stretch with a win over Texas and the 1 loss was to Arkansas

Texas only won 1/7 down the stretch, the 1 win was against a awful LSU team

I guess the committee isn't supposed to take recency into account but they absolutely should

Interestingly, the NCAA selection chair said the B1G tourney title game caused a shift in the final seed order. With that one result, UM slipped from #2 overall to #3 overall, and Purdue rose from #11 overall and a 3 seed to #8 overall & a 2 seed.

I got all 68 teams right but so didn't almost everyone was the easiest year of all time.

I even got 1st 3 out in order. Again was pretty easy.

Ohio State was indeed the dreaded 8 and Duke the 1 but got to win 1st round but that sucks almost no chance to win game 2.
