I understand all conferences are not created equal; some stronger than others, unbalanced scheduling, ect.... But at some point, it comes down to winning games. There shouldn't be a line in the sand that says you have to win "x" many conference games in a season to get into the NCAA tournament, but you should be required to at least compete in your own conference. And like buckeyemania11 just posted, OU hasn't beaten anyone besides the other bottom-dwellers in their conference. And though I don't believe IU should be in the equation either, they at least have a handful of wins vs. quality opponents, but both just have so many unexplainable/undefendable losses.
IU is not going to even be close to the bubble when it is Selection Sunday. The merits of their case for selection being discussed seriously just shows how much of a con the bubble discussion can be in February. TV analysts and writers make the bubble so big that it includes almost anyone because inclusion of as many teams as possible makes it seem like the regular season still has meaning for teams like IU even when it doesn't.But...but...Indiana has wins over Marquette, Louisville and Michigan State!
Sure, they're 10-14 in the rest of their games but quadrant wins, baby!
This selection process is entirely geared toward getting as many Power 5 teams in as possible.
250/1, I would have thought it would be much higher.
I know the University of Cincinnati is there at 150 to 1. It is this Cinicnnati place I have never heard of.UC is clearly there at 150 to 1.
