I have finished my ballot and send it in and now I have some empathy for the writers and coaches who have done this for years week after week and have taken a lot of heat. It is really a crap shoot and even more so after you get past the first 10. I have seen many of these teams play but how do you compare one against another when you're really don't know the strength of the opposition.

The only way I think coaches and writers poll would have any validity is if teams would quit playing patsies in their nonconference schedules and play some quality teams from different regions. How the hell do we know how good Troy, YSU, and OU (Ohio University) really are. Sure they play against other quality opponents but it depends on what coaches like to run up the scores.

I had a very difficult time this week after getting past #15. Really had a hard time of even thinking the names of some teams who deserved in the top 25. Minnesota:wink2:

Week 7 sent.

Quick question also, is BP going to do a top 25 basketball poll as well?
There was a power rankings "poll" that was done last year so just keep your eyes open when basketball season rolls around and look in the Basketball Forum. It was just done for the Big 10 teams.
