BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

I see Scott stopped emailing me at work to gloat about being in first place just long enough to make a trade. If someone had stepped up last year to fill the last spot he wouldn't even be in this league.

He's a fucking Pitt fan.

*emails him obligatory 72-0 meme in response to gloating*

Shit. Completely forgot about this, been extremely busy of late. I will get to sorting the squad back out, but first, let's do some dealing.

Three trades in one morning. Nothing like a couple of bad weeks to make guys sick of their teams, myself included. :slappy:

If you're trading multiple players for one, or vice versa, make sure you have enough roster spots available to absorb the extra guys. If you have guys on the DL make sure to put them in the DL spot to create roster space. If you don't have room the trade won't process even after I've allowed it and you'll have to start over.

I'm creating bench space. This noob has a plan.

I could use a little bench flexibility and I'm going after guys who can get me some god damn strikeouts without having a gazillion ERA (I'm talking to you Carlos Martinez.) Leake and Gonzalez are fine pitchers but I need a little more in the K department. Paxton is a good pitcher but I would view Sale as a bit of an upgrade. Pujols is coming on but I find him on my bench more often than not so I figured I could spread the wealth to where I could use it more.

Give me 3 pitchers in Sale, Scherzer and Vargas (who has been pretty solid so far,) add Martinez for Ks and hope he doesn't fuck up the ERA/WHIP that the other 3 can get me and stream another guy based on matchups and hopefully my pitching can be pretty formidable and I'll let the cards fall where they may on offense.

Sale and Scherzer are quite a duo. Nice haul, and I don't see anything inappropriate with those trades so they should go through unless someone can convince me otherwise.

I'm scrambling to deal with my ace - who never gets hurt pitching - fucking his arm up in a dirt bike accident. Naturally, I have him in multiple leagues. This may not be my year. :bonk:

I can't make any trades, I have no surplus of anything to trade from.

All I would be doing is sucking at something different.

To be fair, I thought Jim Johnson was a set up guy and that you had five pitchers getting holds. Can't believe an actual major league team still has him closing games.

How about Peraza and Iglesias for your worst two players, that sound ok to you?

I sent you a counter offer

The one thing I do have two of is top end set up guys

Miller and Betances

I'll trade one and a bat for a slightly bigger bat
