BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

I sent you a counter offer

The one thing I do have two of is top end set up guys

Miller and Betances

I'll trade one and a bat for a slightly bigger bat

Your bats are better than my bats so I can't afford to give up Arenado. I am more inclined to trade pitching unless you or anyone else wants some of my punching Judys?

Get ready for it...

My plan to have a rotation of stud SPs is going to kick me square in the nuts. Although, in my defense, the offensive lineup I have right now, which has been without Donaldson, has fared quite well in the last couple of weeks. Headley, Haniger, Reynolds, Shaw and Judge have given me the false sense of security that I can find quality offense whenever I need it.

@Jake, any way this trade goes through today since Kershaw pithes tonight? Or is that a no-go?

Even if I approved it now the players wouldn't be on your roster until tomorrow. Yours is an interesting approach. We'll see how it turns out, although in any plan injuries are the wild card.

Fortunately for you, I don't think Kershaw is prone to riding dirt bikes on his off days.

Pondering an offer that looks like quantity vs quality to me but my co-worker is pestering me to make it.

I hope next year we can get enough BPers in this league so I can boot him.
I'm sure I can find a spot for him in my non-BP league since there's always dead weight to remove. But the reason he got in here was because we didn't enough members to fill the league, and frankly some of them disappeared by Memorial Day.

I'm loving how active the "noobs" are this season. I hope you'll stick around for the duration. Things tend to settle down re: player movement by June so it won't likely involve as much time during summer, but please set your line-ups regularly. It makes the league better when everyone plays, although it may make it tougher for @Ahiacitian and I to continue our stranglehold on the title.

You can trust I'll stay active. I wish I had gotten in to this sooner. It really does kill the time I usually spend waiting for fantasy football season. Just like fantasy football, I take it pretty seriously. Not like, overly, it will rule my life seriously, but if I'm going to do it, I'll at least try to be damn good at it. I am pretty good at checking my lineup with the exception of days like the spring game when I'm out at the game wih my family and I missed a switch or two of an inactive player with one who is playing.

Now...how good at this I end up, remains to be seen. However, by the end of the season, despite my auto-draft, I've made enough pickups and trades that whether I'm good or shitty, at least it will be because of MY team and not Yahoo's. I'm going to own this season, not the auto-draft. Plus, I'm going to learn some pretty good lessons along the way which should only make me better in the future.

This, right there. I've been accused of taking it too seriously because I have an itchy trigger finger and make a lot of moves - I put the moves limit in because of ME. The truth is, I enjoy playing and if I'm going to play I want to win. But at the end of the day it's just a hobby. I'll be the first guy here mocking myself and/or my team for fucking up.

Football is my favorite sport, but baseball is my favorite fantasy sport. It's my second favorite game, and I love that they play almost every day. Truth is I like fantasy hockey more than fantasy football. I play a couple leagues and I'd start one here if there was enough interest.
