BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

The Pirates have been around since 1887 and it took less than an hour tonight for Chris Archer to set a team record - first pitcher to allow 4 HRs in one inning.

I started him, of course. :argh:

The Reds have been around longer (I think) and have 4 different fucking guys tied for allowing 5 HR's in one inning.

Was that by one guy in an inning? Looks like a team record (multiple pitchers, same inning).

The Brewers game it was Brandon Claussen giving up 4 and Chris Hammond giving up the 5th. Claussen beat Archer by 13 years. Poor bastard.

You may be right. I do remember Mario Soto giving up 4 in one inning toward the end of his career.

Pretty sure Eric Milton turned the trick as well.

4 HR allowed by one pitcher in one inning has been done twice in Reds history.

Mario Soto gave up 4 in the 4th inning to the Expos in Riverfront on 4/29/86

Claussen gave up 4, also in the 4th inning, to the Brewers in Milwaukee on 4/22/06.

Bill fucking Hall was , of course, involved.

Fun seeing Jose Lima's name on the list. If it was epic and bad and happened to a pitcher you can almost bet Lima was the culprit. Adam Dunn hit one off him that is still in orbit as far as I know.

Branden fucking Claussen. Yet another "stud" prospect the Yanks suckered those turds into trading for. I don't even remember who the yanks got back.

Ah, hell....went ahead and looked it up. Aaron Fucking Boone and Gabe White for Claussen and Charlie Manning.

It's almost like the Reds haven't been good at trades for a long, long time.

Almost
