BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2024, Current Champion = MD Buckeye again)

So does Why So Serious only trade with his work buddy @Jake? In my admittedly extreme bias opinion, I offered a much better deal for Wood a couple weeks ago, however, Serious ignored it for about four days and I canceled it. I am usually about allowing almost all trades to go through, but imo, this isn't very balanced. Frazier and Longoria are basically a wash, but Maeda for Wood? Wood is arguably a top 8 or so starter so far this year (with a history of injuries, I get it) for a dude just picked up off the scrap heap last week? Sorry, this one smells a little fishy. Maybe it is also a cumulative effect as well because I have thought that Sombreros has won every other trade with Serious to this point (all be it closer to 50/50 and acceptable imo). I dunno, you can tell me to go pound sand for all I care it is just for fun and Wood could go out and get injured again in his next start, but if I were a commish, I would veto this one.

Serious might have been drinking again. He offered Justin Smoak to me for Chris Sale. For Chris Sale, I could probably get half of his team going by some of his other deals.

I don't care what the Blue Jays medical people say, Josh Donaldson just isn't right.

He is still obviously feeling the effects of that severe labia sprain back in April as evidenced by only having 4 hits in his last 11 games.

I feel bad for the guy

Not to rub it in but I do not regret that Donaldson/Vargas for Kershaw deal one bit.

I had no way to know he'd turn out to be such absolute shit. Speaking of absolute shit...CarGo gets Homer in Coors tonight, not GAB.

Good news is Freeman is back and Trout will be back shortly.

Now if Mark Reynolds, Donaldson, Kris Bryant and CarGo would all unfuck themselves I might have a good offense for the second half.

Those three used to be Duke Silver Sluggers. Yikes. I think I'll be going now...

Although, I tried to trade you Reynolds and you weren't interested. He's that STD that you didn't get from me but the person that got it from me.

eh, what are you gonna do?

You could have had all 5 of your ace pitchers turn to shit but they are healthy and productive.

It's my turn this year to collect all the big name flame outs and injuries. If there was money on the line I'd be actually pissed, as it is I am mildly annoyed but less and less every day as football season draws near.

Exactly.

Martinez has kinda turned to shit, though.

I'm running to jump in your boat as fast as I can these last couple weeks, it seems. Kimbrel blowing a save. Ottovino coming in down 4 runs vs the Reds and serving up another three. My hitters are allergic to hitting home runs. I think if I hit double digits in that category, we'll have a cure for cancer. It's Wednesday and I have two so far. I have 3-4 great pitchers and another solid guy and I'm getting eaten alive by the likes of Taillon and Nola.
