BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2023, Current Champion = MD Buckeye)

They don't need Gregorious - they've got Cozart. Oh wait!

"It was very difficult giving up home-grown talent, but we think Choo can fill the missing parts in our lineup both offensively and defensively," Reds general manager Walt Jocketty said in a statement. "He is an exciting player, and we expect him to set the table."

Gregorius went to the DBacks. So we can point and laugh at them, too. Maybe.

The D-Backs did get Robbie Ray out of the deal, so there's that, but I don't think they had a clue about Gregorious either.

Andrew Miller left Wednesday's game against the Cubs with left hamstring tightness. Miller threw just two pitches before clutching his leg, and Cleveland didn't hesitate to pull the left-hander from the game.

Ahhh, baseball in 40 degree weather...good times. :ohbrother:

but at the time it was an either/or call between Gregorious and Cozart. They could have gotten Choo (who played well for them that year) for either.

Reds being the Reds they chose to keep the wrong guy. Just like when the decided to keep the cat puncher and trade Yasmani Grandal.

Didi, Grandal, guys like that were young talents and had the potential of being stars to at least really solid players in the making. They had to go.

You call it picking the wrong guy. For the Reds, they pick the “right” guy every time for what this franchise is.

Cueto-Gone
Bailey-Paid!1!!!!1! Son!!1!!1!
Didi-Gone
Cozart-Stayed and now even he is gone
Grandal-Gone
Mesoraco-Dead? Fuck if I know.
Votto-Taking up like 40% of the entire 20 million payroll.
FA-Better be washed up/over the hill or busts from other organizations.
Hamilton-Still here
Any other serviceable CF-Everywhere else
Frazier-Had a really good year and even though I’m not sad about it, that meant he had to go.
Bruce-At least deserved to suffer (us as well) as a Red for his whole career. Now he gets to live in New York.
Dat Dude DP-Got to get out when he needed to stay and suffer. He got to go to Freaknik.

Some guys were talented and needed to stay. Others, less talented guys who put us through enough that they needed to stay and suffer through what they had begun to build.

So of course I leave Tora #1 on the bench and he (Darvish) pitches a gem.

Greg Holland came in with a 5-2 lead at Pittsburgh, looking for his for STL save.

He got pulled with the score 5-5, a runner on 3rd, and nobody out.

Being the Pirates, they couldn't score the guy from third with no outs. Extra innings. :hoke:
