He recorded an extra .25 yards per punt more than Plackemeier but has 30 less attempts. In fact, Baugher only had about 65% of his own teams punts.

Baugher may very well deserve a look based on those stats, but anyone that has seen Ryan punt this year knows it doesn't get much better.
He got destroyed by Ngata in the Oregon game...while running a punt .. destroyed his knee.. but I'm tellin the Browns we need him...

While you're at it, talk to the rest of the all-american team . We look pretty bad in a LOT of areas.

On another note...

Looking at some of these polls, it seems homerism is still alive and well on BuckeyePlanet. No offense to our players, but we don't have a top 6 guy nationally at every position...no matter what Spielman tells you . I'm not bashing it, it's a natural byproduct of following a team. I just found it humorous.

Are you saying I shouldn't have had James Laurinitis at 3rd for The Spielman Award??? :tongue2:

Is Eric Winston getting votes because of pre-season rep? Has anyone actually seen him play worth a shit this year? because I obviously missed those games... unless he's been dealing with a sprained spinal cord, every time I've seen him I thought he was horrible... I'm not sure he starts for Akron U?

and how does the best OL I have seen this year... Texas... not seem to get any votes???
damn.. I wanted to vote for every one of them...
