No offense to our players, but we don't have a top 6 guy nationally at every position...
Holmes, Mangold, Hawk, Huston all are capable of being rated in the top 6 imo (huston, mangold maybe a little lesser).

Whitner, Kudla, Smith, Carp have had good enough years to make it on a buckeye board. but homerism clearly runs rampant :)

Might I humbly suggest that we cut the # to 3 for most of the more minor (e.g. position) awards next year. I can certainly understand doing and adequately find 6 players for POY...but 6 punters?

You might.... :p

I'd agree it was hard to come up with 6 punters and have much of a sense that my selections were particularly valid, although I will say I did review quite a few statistics.

Looking at some of these polls, it seems homerism is still alive and well on BuckeyePlanet. No offense to our players, but we don't have a top 6 guy nationally at every position...no matter what Spielman tells you
I think it's only right that when you can only come up with 3, 4 or 5 choices, a BP member should be OBLIGATED to fill in the rest of those slots with Buckeyes.. it's a rule... :oh:
