"Boise State's dreams of a BCS title blew up in a 34-31 overtime loss to Nevada, but at least the game lent credence to the non-AQs' fight."

Really? How the hell is that?

ZOMG, what don't you get? They lost to Nevada, the #19 team in the country. They hung 52 points on a outstanding Cal team, they are legit too.

Outstanding? :slappy: Let me join you in laughing about that!

Anyone who buys into Cal as proving anything deserves what they get. Cal is 5-6 and lost to every team that it played in the top 30 in the computer power ratings. Cal are ranked 46th in the NCAA in scoring defense. Talking heads will have to do better than that as they wash the Boise State out of their mouths.

Seeing Herbie and Corso spew out that BS was hilarious. Who did Nevada lose to? Hawaii. They have lost three games, one being Colorado.

Isn't there a possible three way tie in the WAC? Which one of those gets the AQ bid for a BCS bowl. Wait a minute, never mind.

A hundred grand in vcash (assuming I'm allowed to transfer) to anyone who can post this pic over on bronco country. I was banned for sticking up for President Gee against that ridiculous e-mail touting Michigan's academics.

That outstanding 5-6 Cal team?

What the ESPN hacks keeping missing.....<either deliberately or out of ignorance>......is that assuming Nevada is at least a decent team then that validates Gees remarks even more. Once Boise played a team with a pulse they lost.

Boise State beats up on the little sisters of the poor. They lose to the little brothers of the poor.

I'm still not sure how that game last night somehow legitimizes non-AQ teams? It's like that stupid saying "the exception proves the rule"

Here's what I take away from BSU's season. They can, with four weeks to prepare, beat a mid-level BCS team at a neutral site. They can then go back to Boise and run up a series of 55-7 scores against programs that are D1 in name only. Despite resting their starters for half of every game and having no injury attrition, they can't manage a win the first time they have to go on the road against a decent, but far from elite, team. Had they had to play a Big Ten schedule, they win 3 at home and lose 3 on the road and get banged up and injured in the process. got depth?

In other words, exactly what President Gee was pointing out. They are a middle of the road Big Ten team.

Boise might have to share the WAC title with Hawaii and Nevada. Going from the national championship to co-champs of the WAC has got to hurt the faithful. Well, there's always the Humanitarian Bowl. I hear Boise in December can be quite the vacation spot.
