Bobby Petrino (Lover of Harleys and Volleyball Players)

Arkansas's loss is [insert desperate underperforming team name here]'s gain. He won't be unemployed long - nor, perhaps, married.

Personally, I think this is a dumb move by Arky, but they're entitled to their decisions. If they were willing to live with the character flaws that Petrino had already demonstrated before he was hired, it seems peculiar to shove him out the door over this minor transgression (not minor from a marital perspective nor a moral one, but in an employment sense).

Coaches have been fired for much less.

Remember Larry Eustachy?

Also, I think Malzahn would be a bad fit. He's a great spread coach but that goes entirely against what Petrino's philosophy was.

I completely agree--Petrino tried to implement his own spread philosophy and it worked out terribly for him.

live news feed.....side note...this news station has referenced joe shad's twitter account probably 39 times in 2 minutes...that is where they are getting all of their news

If I made up a @FakeJoeSchad Twitter account and started posting nonsense, I'd still wind up being correct as often as he is.

I think he trolls message boards for his 'scoops.'

Lying to your boss about what is going to be in a police report and using your position to stash your mistress on the payroll is a pretty sure way to get yourself fired. I don't think there was ever going to be any alternative outcome. To keep him sets a dangerous precedent.

Even if the AD wanted to keep him, I think the BoT and Chancellor say, "You can fire him, or we can fire you, and then we'll fire him."
