you people are redikulous

bn27 I think jt sees the writing on the wall and if he gets a true oc that he will give him control just like he did Dantonio. Jt will oversee it all and the HC should have the final say but he should stay out of the calling unless he sees something that all the other coaches doesn't see.

Interesting questions. What we need to consider is the media fishbowl that is Columbus w/ the OSU football coach. I would imagine that Tressel was pretty much secure for life after the 1st NC at YSU- the constant pressure is not there at the 1-AA level. Would people talk-of course. But certainly nothing like this.....

you don't hire your brother and have one of the most pathetic running games in the nation and not expect to take some flak

Right now, no running backs coach to do anything. I think Ross is just Ross and won't ever change. I think Mo Hall is hurt to where he will never be a consistent runner...he can return kickoffs and take a few handoffs per game, but can never carry a full load. Pittman has talent and looks like he's going to be a good one. Joe is a good FB and an adequate at best tailback. The thing that is limiting the running game the most is the OL. Pittman has had good runs when the run blocking has be good...even Ross has had a few. The problem is that for each play where there's a good hole into which to run, there are three or four more where the ball carrier is running into a solid wall at the line, or Mister Defensive Lineman in the backfield.

I agree with everything else you said, though...

I would love to know those answers. Especially about the offense if he was the offensive coordinator there too. Because not to downplay 1-AA but you don't need to be that creative with play design that you have to be here in the Big Ten.
