Bill O’Brien (HC Boston College, aka BillyBob O’Buttchin et al)

I can't help but remember that he was Penn State's coach when Ohio State beat them 63-14. He said stuff like, "We're going to remember this." Is this hire his revenge? Is it still revenge when Urban Meyer was the coach in 2013, not Ryan Day. Ryan Day wasn't even on staff in 2013, was he?

I thought it was a tough day for Bama when Saban retired, this has to be a close second for OSU. O’Brien is terrible. No creativity.he doesn’t scheme matchups, which I think is essential for CFB.
In Billy O'Brutus we trust...

I hope this doesn't force me to break a tv in November.

Meh. Not my favorite coordinator. He’s okay, not great. It could work out. But there will definitely be some WTF moments.
OSU has one of the best defenses in the country, if not the best next season. So, OSU needs a serviceable offense, and O'Brien's offenses have been more than serviceable.

O'Brien's offenses were solid, and he will be calling Day's plays, and Day will be the final arbiter.

Day get's to actually think through things during a game, especially big things. And will still be involved with the offense.

I don't see where there is a bad side here, and confused by the naysayers.

And his OC has HC experience, which we have seen be beneficial when Wilson was here.

There's no way Day is giving BOB carte blanche with the offense, right? Even if he gives up play-calling, I can't imagine Day just letting somebody else run the entire offense. I'm thinking BOB is going to be an experienced voice who will come in an provide a second opinion and help Day with the overall gameplan, not just implement his own.
