I think I am going to be highly pissed off. Buckeye cable sucks big time. OK I will wait until I call them before I get pissed.
Think how the Time-Warner or Comcast customers feel - at least Buckeye Cable WILL be carrying BTN, without it being premier.

Comcast customer here in Indy. This sucks.

I'm considering going to AT&T. I don't know much about them, but it looks like they are paired with Dish Network. I know they'll be getting the BTN, and they have a lot of the channels I have now +some more.

I know switching to DirectTV is the big thing, and there seem to be some sweet deals out now (I guess there are ALWAYS deals for new customers).

It'll be a tough decision but it looks like there are 3 options...1) go to a restaurant and watch the game 2) switch to DirectTV 3) switch to AT&T

...I'll probably end up staying with Comcast and just going out to watch the games (scared of change perhaps?!)

If you like OSU basketball, you will really be missing the boat. There will be at least 10 games on the BTN. The young OSU bb team will be fun to watch. Everyone has to make their own choices, but missing a third of the OSU football season would be rough. You can go to a bar or restaurant, but not having the ability to record the games would kill me. I watch them over again during the week and in the off season. The other issue is that the BTN won't be going away. Next year it could be more than 4 games. I also can't wait for the classic big ten games to record. There are over 4,000 available. Speaking ot the BTN, here is some info. Some former OSU players will be on the crew

I put it to my wife like this:

Woman, there are three options:

1. We get DirectTV and the NFL Network (she loves the NFL) for a few dollars more than Insight.
2. We hire a sitter and go to a crowded bar, where I spend money.
3. We get tickets to the stolen games.

Noticeably absent: Missing one precious drop of Buckeye football.

As those of us who are married know, it's better to just do it and let her be mad some. She'll get over it, with the help of Gameshow Network.

For those of us "MEN" who are married, we know our wives have absolutely ZERO clue what service we have or how much we pay monthly. :wink2:

You are the luckiest man alive. You live in an area that ATT is offering u-verse. It has nothing to do with Dish Network. Seriously, as fast as you can dial the number you should be switching. Blows away Comcrap or the sat companies. Columbus won't have u-verse until year's end, and Chicago won't launch until sometime next year. FIOS is probably the only service better than u-verse on the planet, but FIOS doesn't have BTN. U-verse does.

For those of us real men, our wives are as interested in how this issue will be addressed as we are because they too refuse to miss a single game.

So how much does you getting BTN raise my portion of the utilities? :tongue2:

Folks I have 7 months left on a contract with the other sattelite provider. I am going to pay them for their shit to sit in a box for that time, I had the old lady sign us up for Dish today just for the BTN and high def.

Missing games simply isn't an option.
