Big Ten Network Introduces Web Streaming for Fans Abroad - Big Ten Network

Well this is just wonderful, I have to travel across the world to see BTN....but getting it on Cox Cable in Las Vegas is impossible. Guess I'll be going to Mexico for a couple games this season

I'm living in England now and while this looks like a great way for me to catch big10 games, "http://www.bigtenticket.com" just takes you to that stupid press release. It's 4 days until games and there isn't even a way to sign up for the service...thanks BTN.

Sent them an email, see if I get any response.

According to BigTenNetwork on Twitter it will be "very soon", bigtennetwork.com is down right now for construction, I have a feeling it will be there when the site is back up

It's up now...the sample feed (OSU v Minny from last year) looks amazing. HD quality, but with some compression blocks during motion and crowd shots.

The price though, is ridiculous! :[censored]ed:

3 GREAT WAYS TO WATCH WITH THE BIG TEN TICKET

SINGLE GAME PPV
Browse the schedule below and choose an individual football or men's basketball game to purchase on a pay-per-view basis. Watch your game Live or On Demand.
$24.952

SCHOOL PASS
Pick a school and watch every Big Ten Network televised football and men's basketball game on your computer for the 2009-10 school year.
$69.95

CONFERENCE PASS
Your best deal, the Conference Pass delivers every Big Ten Network televised football and men's basketball game (150+ games!) throughout the 2009-10 school year.
$89.95

So it'll cost me $90 to watch the big10 football games that are too crappy for the networks to pick up...grrrrr. I could give a rats @ss about the basketball games, but there is no football only package.

While I'm thinking about it. If you are in the US and you have no way of getting BigTenNetwork, and you don't mind paying a LOT for it, I use www.witopia.net in order to access pandora and hulu from the UK.

They are a VPN service that only costs $40 a year. You could force it to use a UK IP address and then sign up for for BTN's $90 a year package. I can't say for sure that the VPN will be fast enough for BTN's stream, but it's been fast enough for me to do Hulu in high quality. So $130 a year for big10 football and basketball. ouch.

I have noticed since we had a channel line up change with some additions to my HD,there are 4 BTN channels now! I have Comcast, anyone else with this?

TWC has three or four as well. They split all the channels up by genre. So they fall under the sports tier, basic tier, sports package tier, and HD tier. Can't forget our On Demand channel either! And I still say TWC sucks.

Will Rotel have a new commercial this year??
Will we see that Rotel commercial 100+ times each Saturday??

It's according to how much Rotel you bought.... I bought zero so if it was according to me they will have the same commercial.
