It is interesting. I am up in Cleveland and my main TV cannot get BTN yet. Stupid cable box! I have a feeling the software needs to update cuz with the set-top it doesn't allow me to manually enter channel 77.

But I head downstairs to my 2nd TV that uses just the cable and no set-top box and I can enter channel 77 and I can get the BTN???

Just an FYI for anyone in South Florida. I just found out that Comcast has added the BTN on channel 742 on their Digital packages (at least in Broward Co.). I called about 20 minutes ago and for an extra $5/mo. on the Digital Starter package I was able to get the BTN immediately. It is on a sports tier add on, but I have no idea what other channels I get with it as all I cared about was BTN.

I was going to head to a local sports bar to watch, but now that I have it at home I can watch the game and catch up on work at the same time which will let me enjoy the long weekend even more!!

I called Time Warner AND did an online chat with Time Warner this morning AND took the time to look at the info they have provided online.

There will be no BTN-HD until after Sept 1st for some. Columbus will have it.

Time Warner Cable: Big 10 Network

When I called they said that the staion would not be turned on until just before game time.

If you plug the cable wire right into your tv you'll see that channel 24 (columbus area) is color bars. It's there. Just not on.

My online chat I was told, once again, just before noon the switch is flipped and all will be well. Your guide lineup will update. Just start checking around 11:30am.

So like I suspected, we're getting State Penn vs Cupcake U on the only BTN channel here in Mechanicsburg. Any of you Direct TV people know what channels are the overflow channels? I'll have to walk these idiots at whatever Damon's I'll be going to through putting it on the TV step by step.

Here is the Directv channel lineup(it's the same in any area of the country)

610-OSU, 617-PeeSU, 618-Iowa, 620-Indiana, 623-Wisconsin

Exactly...you can't help but think they haven't figured it out yet and they are just stalling out until the very end. This is ridiculous...they know people are going to want to make plans elsewhere if they don't have the game ready, yet they are making us wait until right before game time? The only thing that would make me more mad than TW not having the game in time, is telling me to wait until game time for launch, and then make me miss part of the game driving to the sports bar.
