The article just said that it was going to be the Big 10 territory on expanded basic. Scallywags like your dad are gonna have to see if they can order it in a package.
hey, my dad is no scalleywag... ironically some small cable outfit in hilton head (where they just bought a condo) has the BTN, so he is bringing his slingbox down there this weekend, so he is set for the rest of the season.

... and i just called TW south carolina, and they had no knowledge of the deal... or even what the big ten was :wink2:

I wonder what TW will say when I call to cancel Thursday? Well you didn't have the btn when I signed up with direct. I'll call you in 2 years. Fix your hd.
theyll probably offer you a substantially lower monthly fee... happened with comcast last year, when i threatened to switch.

I used to have Versus on TW analog cable in Dayton (channel 57). I moved to the Cincinnati area two years ago, and TW here doesn't have it on any level of service, and all but denies the existence of the network when I call to inquire about it. I pay for digital cable and the sports tier, and think if it's being offered right up the road on basic service I should at least be able to get it on one of those levels of service that I am subscribing to.

I don't really care about hockey, but Versus shows college football too and it would be nice to be able to catch those games.

I haven't seen any listings yet, but I anticipate BTN will be on channel 32 in Cincy - which was vacated by ESPN Classic when they moved it to the digital tier about a year ago.
