How? My bill is going down by $20 or so with 4 boxes. If you just get basic without a box I doubt you will be able to get the BTN with TW once they do sign. I'm sure they will get the BTN on digital cable at the very least.

NYers

Just trying to get some info just in case. I noticed that Penn State vs. Coastal Carolina game is also on BTN at 12 on the 30th. I couldn't find the coverage map for any of the games. Living in NY, I would assume that the Penn State game would get the nod over the OSU game since NY is closer in proximity to Pennsylvania. Do any of the OSU bars have access to the game even though the PSU game might be on in that region? Thanks in advance for the info.

bars generally have directtv (or other satellite, probably dtv since the nfl package is on there)... directtv has overflow channels, so if the game is not on the main BTN channel, they show all the games on seperate overflow channels

right now through time warner i have dvr + hd and rr for 92 a month. i don't currently have a phone line (don't need one).

according to direct tv:
hd +dvr package - 54.99 (after 1st yr its 72.99)
1 hd dvr + 2 additional receivers - 20
phone line - 30
dsl - 20 minimum

so thats 125 for the first year and 155 for the remaining life of the contract. so 30 to almost 70 more per month.

what package do you have? do you also have high speed interent? unfortunately it is required for work :(.

BTN doesn't broadcast "by region" (or at least that's the case on DirecTV). The "primary" game will be on one channel and the others on alternate channels. If a game is being broadcast on BTN then you'll be able to get it, regardless if it's the primary game or not.

I have exactly the same TV package as you with Insight along with RoadRunner and digital phone for $145 approximately. Now you might get some more channels than I am currently receiving but for $8 more I could get ESPNU, NFL Network, ESPN Classic, and about 13 more additional channels. I always thought insight was bad until I read what you guys are getting.

As the old forty's song went, "South of the Border, down Kentucky way."

TW has exclusive rights in Hamilton County and Cincinnati, signed away probably 20 years ago to quote, "cover the high cost of wiring." And they then also received permission to use exsisting telephone and power line poles. Talk about a license to steal...
