How about Sportsnet New York? They offer about 75% of the Mets games and some non-game Jets content. They charge $1.80 per customer.

You don't think a station that shows at least 1 NFL game per week is more attractive than a station that will only show OSU when we are playing Nobody Tech? The other times it will be showing Nobody Tech vs Nobody State in women's badminton.
(April 11, 2007) -- NFL Network announced its eight-game regular-season schedule airing in the "Run to the Playoffs" national primetime package. All eight games -- five on Thursdays and three on Saturdays -- will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET. NFL Network's schedule features teams which combined for five playoff berths and three division titles in 2006.holybuckeye33;867812; said:Again, 1 NFL game per week? Since when?
And after those first few weeks, will you still be watching the channel? Besides, I doubt a casual TV viewer is going to be as interested in an OSU blowout as an NFL game, where anyone can win. I'd rather watch OSU vs. Nobody Tech than the content on NFL Network (and I have NFL Network to be able to make the comparision).

So the NFL Network doesn't play at least 1 NFL game per week? Whoever pays for that is getting ripped off then.Again, 1 NFL game per week? Since when? I'd rather watch OSU vs. Nobody Tech than the content on NFL Network (and I have NFL Network to be able to make the comparision). Also I think you're significantly underestimating the programming which the BTN will offer. My only complaint will be if Directv doesn't offer all games which are airing at the same time and I get stuck with PSU vs. Nobody Tect instead of no OSU at all.
Pro sports are expensive to offset the costs of pro contracts. How about Sportsnet New York? They offer about 75% of the Mets games and some non-game Jets content. They charge $1.80 per customer.
Why should the voice of OSU fans be screaming "please charge me a shitload of money so I can watch my team play Youngstown State....whereas I could I have watched them for free if this new network wasn't created!"?Just as I feared. T-W is pissing around. OSU fans in Cincinnati had better get their voice out there... or go to Direct TV...hmmmmm. At least I'd own my own HDTV receiver then.

If they feel $1.80/customer is beneficial to them for showing 75% of the Mets schedule, then I don't see the BTN being outrageously priced.
By the way, some people keep arguing that only the bottom-of-the-barrel games will be shown. That's completely false. Out of the 12 week schedule, BTN gets 2nd choice of game (after ABC) three times, 3rd choice of game (after ABC/ESPN) three times, and 4th choice (leftovers) six times. That means there will be some games worth watching.
How much did an out-of-state customer pay in the past when they couldn't get the ESPN Plus games for free? $100 for Gameplan?
I would much rather see some of my money go to the Big Ten than have more ESPNU games shoved down my throat. At least the BTN has a chance of getting picked up.
