Does that dumb fuckhole realize that would've made that game completely meaningless, the game they play on their channel about 300 times a year? I wish him a slow painful death. And soon. That or retirement. I'm open to either.
You're looking at it with an NFL mentality. The Game is still a must win because a loss that late in the year kills your NC hopes... and I'd like to think the eye will be on that prize. College, for the better in my view, is fundamentally different than the pros in that respect (and this difference is part of the reason I am against a playoff format).

Really excited to see Nebraska on the schedule. That game is going to be EPIC. 2011 season is starting to look like a real challenge.

Doug Lesmerises confirms crossover games WILL count in Big Ten.

That takes care of the "The Game won't matter"

I'm a fan, although I'm likely one in a million here. The Game is always The Game. A Big Ten CCG is a Big Ten CCG, if it happens to be vs. scUM, it doesn't diminish the first go around one bit for me.

Jon Miller and LeCharles Bentley doing the pulse on the BTN and had a viewer e-mail that didn't really get answered:

"How will the Divison Champions be decided? Will the inter-divisonal games be factored into who wins a particular divison or will the Champion of each divison be decided solely based on the intra-divisonal record?"

I think it will be a teams intra-divisonal record soley that will determine the divisonal champion but I don't think it's definitively been answered.

How have the ACC, SEC and Big12 been doing it?

SO ACCORDING TO DAVE REVSINE (BTN) THE DIVISONAL WINNER IS DETERMINED BY OVERALL CONFERENCE RECORD.

I think someone can remove "possible" from the thread title now.

I've been busy the last 20 minutes trying (unsuccessfully) to book a hotel room in Lincoln in October, 2011. :tongue2:

Does this mean everyone goes on a 2-year rotation of not playing teams?

Yeah, I don't like that much. I'd rather have it be every other year. Guys typically are lucky if they start two seasons, so it would be unfortunate if a guy never got to play against a team in his own conference, especially if he happened to be from that state.

Conference Divisional Tiebreakers, from the BTN show.

Division winner is determined by overall conference record (yes, crossover games count in the standings).

First tiebreaker is head-to-head (which will always apply in a 2-way tie).

Multiple team tiebreaker:
- collective head-to-head among tied teams
- if 3 teams all beat each other, the next tiebreaker is to use the records within that division only
- last divisional tiebreaker is to use the 'BCS component' (presumably that's just the BCS standings)

Besides the folks that would normally be trying, plus the Buckeye faithful that are trying to book a room without any prompting, I think I know the reason you can't get through. Somebody alerted Buckeye Planet, with it's hundreds of followers. Hmmm, wonder who did that?
