Big East commissioner out the door like a whore.

Shocked, I tell you. Things seemed to be going so well.:(

Best juggalo quote that I could find.

THIS IS A VERY GOOD THING! Now, all the presidents of current (and I believe future) members get to appoint/elect a commissioner THEY are happy with and who they believe can keep the league moving forward.

You have to love the almost full retard like optimism in the face of events continually shoving a [Mark May] sandwich down their throats. Never mind that the basketball school Presidents just pushed out the pro-football expansion Commissioner......just look the other way, and it'll all be good!

Keep moving forward, Big East. Great things await!

sounds like a nearly impossible job to keep the BigEast together and relevant in a world of college football relevancy.

The BigEast needed Penn State to be truly legitimate. It will probably become a basketball only conference soon....even ND won't save it.

from the article:

To replace those teams and attempt to save the Big East's football-playing members by seeking to ensure its BCS automatic qualifier status, Marinatto brought in Temple, Memphis, SMU, UCF, Houston, Boise State, San Diego State and Navy.

:slappy:

Amazingly (and sadly) that list makes Pitt, Syracuse and WV look like paragons of football tradition.

Fucking Potatards are watching their whole world crumble.

After only one year in the MWC, they piss on it for the glory(hole) of the Big East putting all their eggs in the football basket, assuming ridiculous travel costs and abandoning all their other sports to god knows where since no other conference out West has agreed to take them. All in the hopes that an easy route to a BCS auto-bid and some yet to be determined television contract will make it all pay off in the end.

Fast forward less than a year, and.....

  • auto bids ended
  • Big East with no major bowl tie-ins
  • Revenge of the basketball schools forces pro-football expansion commissioner out.
  • Still no magic bullet television contract negotiated

Only thing that could possibly make this better is if they go crawling hat-in-hand back to the MWC only to be told to go fuck themselves.

Great Justice: Potatards back to the WAC.

According to them, they need to stay in the Big East because even though the conference has no AQ anymore, they have no chance in the WAC to get in the top four in the WAC. And so - they reason - it is a much, much better deal for them to have no chance to get in the top four in a better conference.

They need to wrap their brains around the fact that given the best two years in their history with their best QB and team ever, and with a shot at the brass ring, that they choked - and will forever wonder "what if". They will never get another chance.

IOW, they remain forever the Jean Van de Velde of college football.

From a juggalo.

I think the biggest thing that the Big East hired a consulting group to evaluate the structure of the league. Great opportunity to kick the Basketball only schools out, focus on developing the schools whom recently joined. New league new Commissioner.

You have to love these crazy bastards. It's like Uncle Eddie showing up at Christmas and deciding that he should be able to kick Clark and the rest of the Griswolds out of the house, so he can have it for himself.

Wouldn't it be hilarious if the basketball schools broke off and exposed this glorified CUSA for what it is?
