So we're talking about merging the B1G and the SECSECSEC into the Megasuperreleasethekraken Conference?

Wouldn't that be fun? The Divisions could be:

North - South (Too easy)
Cold - Hot (Again, maybe too easy)

I prefer the four division model below:

Sex Kitten - tOSU, UF, UGa, LSU, Illinois, NW (stretch of a pick)
12-Pack - Neb., Iowa, Minn., Ark., Vandy, SC
Fat & Ugly - IU, Purdue, Mich. St., Bama, Auburn, Tenn.
WTF?! - TSUN, Wisky, PSU, Ole Miss, Miss. St., UK

Note: The WTF?! division has other names like:
Geezus! That Girl Was Hideous
She Was Pushin' 'Bout Two-Fitty
Cousin Focker

They might actually be able to hold the Big XII together for a while.

CBS

Big 12 presidents sign off on revenue sharing

The Big 12 Conference says school leaders have agreed to equally share first- and second-tier television money if its members agree to give the league their TV rights for at least six years.

Temple, UCF, ECU, Navy are being tossed around.
As is Air Force. From what I gather, ECU is tossing their own name around. I haven't seen much that indicates the Big East is looking at them seriously.

I would imagine that if The Big East were somehow able to get Navy and Air Force as football members only, they would look at Army as well.

Perhaps that would allow them to lure in The Coast Guard Acadamy so that Notre Dame is forced to join as a full member to keep the storied rivalry, which was mentioned a few pages back, alive...

I may have missed it but has the Big East thrown out any schools that they might have interest in?.

Yes, they threw out Temple a few years ago, and now they're interested in them.

Is that what you were asking? :tongue2:

From what I've read they've cooled off of Air Force because they're a Big XII candidate (LOL?).

Why hasn't the Big XII tried to take TCU?

Some have said that Texas doesn't want them (but may have recently softened their position on TCU), others have said that the non-Texas teams don't want another team from that state.

The purpose of expansion is maximizing on market share; TCU doesn't offer much in that department. Now for the Big East they made great sense, but the Big 12 doesn't have many options in their region so they look towards more national schools, something like what an Air Force can offer.
