I wanted Texas as much as anyone but I am not going to gripe about their actions in their own self-interest.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with them looking out for themselves. What's puzzling to me is how short-sighted this approach seems to be in terms of a lasting money-maker.

This is what is baffling to me. Purely from a rational standpoint, Tejas stood to reap billions from allying themselves with the Big Ten. So why are they not with us?

It's evident that rational considerations did not hold sway here. Politics, ego, or other considerations clearly were predominant. Disappointing, but let's let go of Tejas and find ways of celebrating the great new Big Ten (including Nebraska).
