If Shawshank Redemption was acually shot here ( and I dont doubt that fact) then it would be in my humble opinion the best movie shot here. Morgan Freeman is an amazing actor Tim Robbins is ok too for a dyed in the wool bleeding heart hollywood liberal. :tongue2:

Even though nothing will be able to top Airborne, I will have to go with Milk Money as the 2nd best movie filmed in Ohio.
I didnt know that The Chirstmas Story was filmed here and did you know that the house was turned into a Museum?

My favorite is Brubaker, which features a credit to Steve19. I was the sales and marketing manager for a leading furniture company in Columbus back then and handled the rental furniture for many of the actors houses and many sets.
It was a real eye-opener to me. Redford lived on the East side in Reynoldsburg during the filming. He ran every day without his neighbors recognizing him. Yaphet Kotto spent an incredibly long time in our showroom. He is an incredibly BIG guy and was worried that he would break normal dining room chairs if he sat on them. It was the lesser "stars" who were most difficult to deal with.
I had a lot of used furniture to sell when the film went into production but couldn't say anything about where it had been as part of my agreement with the Ohio Film Bureau.
