Going there for the first time. Will be staying near Walnut Street but will have a car and definitely head down to south Philly for cheesesteak. Any advice?

It's a lot like that. I grew up in the Philly area, and I have to say that Geno's is a good choice, but so are any one of a hundred different places. I recommend trying a few different ones. South St. is a great location to hang out, window shop (tons of funky stores), and eat cheese steaks. "Jim's" is on South Street and was considered the best place for cheese steaks for a long time. Everyone in Philly has a different opinion about the best place, but the point is: Cheese steaks in Philadelphia are sooooo much better than anywhere else in the world that it's a moot point.scooter1369;607500; said:Isn't this like asking who makes the best Soba in Osaka?
