Best Buy Secret Employee Only Website Shows Different Prices From Real Site

This was a few years ago, but when we were shopping for our HDTV, we waited until Best Buy had a huge sale. We took the Best Buy ad to Sears, and Sears beat BB's price by 10%. They wrote down a quote and stapled it to a brochure. We took that quote directly over to Best Buy and they beat the Sears price by another 10%, and threw in free delivery.
Jackpot.

Unrelated but cable companies don't like when you call and say a door-to-door salesman from (competive company) just came by and offered me this for this price, can you beat it or should you come pick up your box next tuesday?

I think 14 is right. Long ago I worked for a while at Radio Shack. The managers couldn't care less if you sold a 300 dollar pair of speakers, but would absolutly shiver when batteries or electonic parts, ie. boards, resisters, chips, switches ect. were on the counter. Back at the golf course, the pro couldn't care less about greens fees, he got his stuff off on lessons and 2 dollar cokes. He would actually laugh when ringing up the drinks, swore he only had 5 cents in each one, cup, ice, and syrup included...

No quite a nickel, but fountain drinks are around 70-75% gross margin

slurpee at 7-Eleven about the same as fountain at 70%

Coffee around 60-65%

Hot Dogs were around 40%

Nachos around 45-50%

You make a killing with those numbers and each of the above numbers included any shrinkage and waste....

yeah, as long as it is the same model. that is where they get you if they want. most companies will make very similar products but each company will get its own model. the one at BBY will have a different bell or whistle than the one at HH Gregg so they have different model #s. Costco from what I've heard is the bomb because they include a full service plan with their TVs. You pay out the ass for those at BBY, HH or CC.
